Abstract

Teenage period is an important stage in human life. Every teenager will have puberty period and one of the signs of puberty in teenage girl is menstruation. The lack of actual information about menstruation problem will affect the teenager less knowing about menstrual hygiene. The aim of this scoping review is to get the evidence based of the using of media in improving knowledge about menstrual hygiene. The review method is researcher finds the article in three databases and grey literature and selecting original article to reviewing. Article theme focused on the media in improving knowledge about menstrual hygiene. Selecting article is appropriate with inclusion criteria and obtained seven results to review. The result of this scoping review is counseling using audio visual media is more effected in giving counselling about menstrual hygiene in teenage girl.
