This has been proven to be effective as it tends to enhance academic staff performance, from the feedbacks and comments students give online. However, in developing countries like Nigeria, such feedback systems have neither been deployed nor effectively functional. Hence, in this study we develop a web-based feedback system for academic staff assessment that can be adopted by tertiary institutions. The web-based feedback system is developed using the waterfall model approach. This approach is suitable due to the possibility of following a sequential process. Also, the various modules of the online feedback system were designed using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) for the frontend; NoSQL for the database; and PHP for processing data between the frontend and backend. The designed web-based feedback system will be effective to enhance academic staff performance within higher institutions.

Student Feedback System

International Journal for Research in Applied Science & Engineering Technology (IJRASET), 2023

In the terms of advanced era and for maintaining a good record of accreditation of an institute, we're developing Student Feedback System. This system contains feedback form which is constructed by using different primitives available in PHP and HTML and combining them together in a required manner. It generates the results for the faculties on the basis of feedbacks given by the students. The students will be provided with unique usernames and password in order to login and evaluate. The final result will be displayed at admin's page. Admin is the responsible for viewing the evaluation and registering new students. There are questions provided to evaluate the status of faculty and each question contains 5 options namely Excellent, Very Good, Good, Average and Poor.

Designing Of an Online Employee Assessment and Performance Evaluation System for Private Universities in Nigeria

IJISET - International Journal of Innovative Science, Engineering & Technology,, 2018

The success of any organization, establishment or institution depends on its ability to evaluate the performance of each employee, to assess the contribution of each employee towards achieving the vision, mission, goals and objectives of such establishment. No organization can attain its desired goals and objectives without its workforce. Therefore, employees are an important factor in any institution as they stand as the core of the institute. Performance evaluation is an important component of the human resource management and it is widely used method to evaluate the employees in an effective manner. It is needed to recognize and reward the performance of the employees to improve their commitment and satisfaction. However, the most common method of evaluation in most Universities still remains the use of paper based assessment forms or physical presence of employees, this method wastes time, energy, tend to be bias and very slow and most likely lead to loss of records. Therefore this study identifies some challenges in the existing paper based system, proposed and a prototype design of an online based Employee assessment and evaluation system which will be an improvement upon the existing system.

A Student Feedback System for Teaching Evaluation in Education Using Database Management System (DBMS); an Empirical Study for Quality Assurance Unit, University of Sulaimani

Journal of Kirkuk University, 2018

Feedback is the most important element of evaluation in teaching process as it provides students with a statement of their learning and advice about improving the system. The existing system for teaching evaluation being used at most of the universities and institutions, relies on an inflexible paper system that uses outdated and labor intensive technology. This paper suggests a system to reduce the workloads and time consuming of staff members who must process forms and transcribe written comments before releasing the evaluations for faculty review and generating statistical reports for their progress, also, improve the quality of students’ feedback that play the important role to enhance the instructors’ performance. This study aims at studying performance evaluation system and its impact on the performance level of academic staff at School of Administration and Economics (SAE).

Web-based design for lecturer performance reporting applications

Journal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019

A lecturer as an educator in a college institution obtains professional appreciation for their work through certification of lecturer who is rewarded in the form of lecturer allowance. To obtain a lecturer allowance, lecturers are required to report their academic activities. The purpose of this study is to describe the design of web-based lecturer performance reporting applications. In this study the application is modelled with UML modelling (Unified Modelling Language) that describes a system design. The object of research that used as a user of the application is a lecturer of Private Islamic Higher Education. The results of application design show that the system can work well; can process data of lecturer activities among others: education, research, community service, and supporting which then converted to semester unit value (SKS). This lecture performance reporting application is user friendly, easy access, good system security, and have a good data base.

Feedback Management System with reference to Institutions of Higher Education: Opportunities & Challenges -An Exploratory Study

International Journal of Management, Technology, and Social Sciences (IJMTS), 2019

Universities in India are globally famous for providing quality education with low cost. The privatization has further developed formal education with advanced technology, infrastructure and learning environment. It has become a matter of pride for the higher educational institutions to show case the innovations they do to provide quality education to the students. Sustainability can be attained only by detecting the defects in teaching, learning and evaluation system in the educational institutions. There is a need to seek proper solutions to solve the existing defects in the educational system so as to provide good citizens to the society. The Students, Faculties, Parents, Employers, Collaborative Institutions, Regulating Bodies, Banks and financial Institutions, Sponsoring bodes etc. are the prime stakeholders of educational system. The expectation of each set of stakeholder differs in its magnitude based on its role towards the cause of education. Feedback is the process of knowing the self for every educational institution to rate its service towards its stakeholders. Educational Institutions shall establish and adopt Feedback Management System (FMS) to detect the best practices and defects existing in its system. The University Grants Commission has mandated the feedback on teachers. It has directed the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to seek feedback from the students to evaluate the quality of educational delivery. This paper describes about the regulatory norms, process, opportunities and challenges of Feedback Management System in the Higher Education system in India.

Web Application for Student Performance Evaluation and Remuneration System

International Journal of Scientific Research in Computer Science, Engineering and Information Technology, 2023

Accreditation plays an important role in ranking colleges, requiring correct date. Students Evaluation System helps the engineering faculties to maintain student grades database in an efficient manner and helps in evaluating it to develop a criterion for accreditation. Faculty remuneration system, on the other hand, is a structured approach to determine the compensation and benefits that faculty members receive for their teaching, research, and service activities by generating excel sheet with accurate remuneration received by faculties for conduction of Examination orals and practical. Both the student performance evaluation system and faculty remuneration system are essential components of any educational institution. Effective implementation of these systems requires careful planning, regular monitoring, and continuous improvement based on feedback and data analysis.

Web-Based Teacher Performance Assessment Information System Using Simple Additive Weighting Method

Buana Information Technology and Computer Sciences (BIT and CS)

SMP IT Nurul Huda Batujaya is one of the educational institutions for school students in Batujaya District, Karawang Regency. The research objective is to develop teacher performance appraisal. The research method using qualitative methods aims to describe the data analysis in a narrative manner. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews, and literature study. Teacher performance assessment is still done manually by using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Other problems are needed, namely, the high cost of printing documents from each teacher, the documents submitted to the administration department are often damaged and confused, the assessment team must carry a lot of documents during the assessment, and errors during the assessment recapitulation. This can have an impact on delays in the teacher performance assessment process. The system development method uses the waterfall, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language, MySQL, and the Simple Additive Weighting...
