Pengetahuan tentang huruf bagi anak bagi anak 4-5 tahun sangat penting untuk proses membaca dan menulis. Untuk merealisasikan pembelajaran mengenal huruf di perlukan media yang sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak .Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Sandpaper letter terhadap kemampuan mengenal huruf anak usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif yang berbentuk quasi eksperimen. Berdasarkan analisis data di peroleh hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Taman Kanak-kanak Islam Budi Mulia Padang dengan rata-rata hasil kemampuan mengenal huruf anak kelas eksperimen (A1) yang dilakukan dengan media sandpaper letter lebih tinggi dibandingkan anak di kelas kontrol (A2) yang dilakukan dengan media kartu huruf yaitu 78,25 kelas eksperimen dan dikelas kontrol adalah 71,25. Menulis dengan bermain pasir warna merupakan kegiatan yang menarik untuk anak, dengan bermain anak akan secara tidak sadar juga melakukan kegiatan belajar. Ketika bermain pasir warna kegiatan yang dilakukan juga disertai alat pendukung seperti, cetakan huruf dan kartu huruf. Based on the results of observations at the Siborong-borong State SLB, the team found that mentally retarded students could imitate the writing made by their teacher, but these students did not know what they were writing, let alone read, they did not know the letters. So, the team tried to introduce letters to students by applying the alphabetical poster method, with the hope that mentally retarded students would be able to recognize letters. The purpose of using alphabetical poster media in the teaching and learning process is to improve the letter recognition skills of mentally retarded students at Siborong-borong State SLB. This research is motivated by facts in the field which show that the ability to recognize letters in Group B of Al Ihsan Kindergarten is still lacking. Learning media available to introduce letters is still lacking, only using blackboards and LKA. The fun learning process to introduce letters is lacking and monotonous. In terms of language, especially the ability to recognize letters in group B children at TK Al Ihsan is still low. The low ability to recognize letters of kindergarten children will of course have a negative impact on those concerned. This impact will be greatly felt entering elementary school. So the researchers tried to apply the use of letter card media to improve the ability to recognize children's letters. The formulation of the problem in this study is how are children's learning activities in recognizing letters using letter card media? and how to improve children's learning outcomes in recognizing letters by using letter card media? The purpose of the research conducted was to find out an overview of the application of letter card media in improving the ability to recognize letters in group B children of Al Ihsan Kindergarten. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects in this study were the children of Al Ihsan Kindergarten Group B1 for the 2020/2021 academic year, which consisted of 10 children with 4 boys and 6 girls. Based on the research results obtained, it shows that the ability to recognize letters in group B1 children has increased. This is evidenced by the results of the achievement of child development which has increased in each cycle, namely (1) in cycle I, the achievement of child development is 70%. In cycle II, the achievement of child development was 90%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of letter card media can improve the ability to recognize letters in group B1 children.

Abstrak Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf kecil b dan d melalui kegiatan menulis di atas pasir. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 08 Mojokerto dengan jumlah 15 anak terdiri dari 6 anak laki-laki dan 9 anak perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi yang dilakukan oleh teman sejawat dan dokumentasi yang berupa foto kegiatan anak dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan mengenal huruf kecil b dan d melalui kegiatan menulis di atas pasir sebesar 23,4% berdasarkan evaluasi hasil dari siklus I dan siklus II. Dari uraian di atas, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan menulis di atas pasir dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf kecil b dan d pada anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 08 Mojokerto. Kendala dalam menghafal huruf hijaiyah pada kelas tilawati Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dapat menghambat proses pembelajaran Al-Qur’an hingga ke tahap berikutnya. Sandpaper letter merupakan media pembelajaran yang digunakan pada metode Montessori untuk pengenalan alfabet yang dapat digunakan sebagai media tambahan untuk pembelajaran Tilawati PAUD. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk memudahkan Anak Usia Dini (AUD) menghafal huruf Hijaiyah. Berdasarkan hasil dampingan kepada pengajar dan 5 Anak Didik tilawati PAUD TPQ Amanah, kec. Gunung Anyar, kota Surabaya, didapatkan adanya kenaikan rata-rata huruf hijaiyah yang dapat dihafalkan anak selama 1 bulan. Hasil pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi Lembaga Pendidikan Al-Qur’an lain yang ingin memudahkan AUD dalam menghafal huruf hijaiyah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuknmengetahui hasil peningkatan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak melalui media pembelajaran sandpaper letters pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Aisyiyah 33 Purwodiningratan tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia 4-5 tahun berjumlah 14 anak yang terdiri dari 5 anak anak laki-laki dan 9 anak perempuan. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah guru dan anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data menggunakan credibility, t ransferability, dependability, dan confirmability. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan analisis model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan kemampuan keaksaraan awal yang meliputi meniru menebalkan huruf diperoleh 78,8%, meniru menuliskan huruf diperoleh 78,5% dan meniru mengucapkan bunyi huruf diperoleh 85,7% mendapatkan nilai tuntas. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui media pembelajaran sandpaper letters dapat meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan awal pada anak usia 4-5 tahun.
