Thermal power plant with cooled superconducting structure (original) (raw)

2012

Abstract

There is a thermal power plant (10, 20, 30) proposes a heat engine (2) using a cryogenic liquefied hydrocarbon mixture (1) can be fired, and with an electric unit (3) having a superconductor structure (3b) wherein a cooling means (3a) is provided which is adapted to cool the superconductor structure (3b) using at least a portion of the cryogenic liquefied hydrocarbon mixture (1). The use of a cryogenic liquefied hydrocarbon mixture (1) and a method for generating electric power are also subjects of the invention.
