Recently, interest in the Qur’an translations has increased. One of the important motives underlying this is that the interest in the Qur’an in the contemporary period shows itself through the Qur’an translations and as a result of this the need to write Qur’an translations has emerged. In this respect, in Turkey as in many other parts of the Muslim world the efforts to understand the Qur’an through Qur’an translations has increased. In this regard, how Qur'anic translations, which play an important role in understanding the Qur'an, are perceived by the society in general and especially by the students in the Faculty of Theology/Islamic Sci-ences, which are a part of higher religious education, has become one of the topics to be inves-tigated. In this study, the thoughts and attitudes of the students studying at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences of Afyon Kocatepe University about the Qur'anic translations were discussed. The sample of the study consists of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students studying at Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Islamic Sciences in 2018-2019 academic year. Thus, Qur’an translations were tried to be evaluated through the eyes of students and some data about the culture of Qur’an translations that students had were presented.
