Evaluación de fuentes de fertilización orgánica para tomate de invernadero en Oaxaca, México (original) (raw)
Evaluation of organic fertilization sources in greenhouse tomato in Oaxaca, Mexico. The effects of organic fertilizers lombricompost and chicken manure, and of a combination of both, complemented with the organic solution Bioagro®, were evaluated in greenhouse tomato production. The following variables were evaluated: tomato yield, productivity efficiency index, water efficiency index, fertilizer efficiency index, modified productivity index, number of diseased plants, and number of nematode and insect-damaged fruits. The treatments with the highest yield and efficiency indexes were chicken manure at 1.93 kg/m2, and lombricompost + chicken manure at 1.27 kg/m2 each. Lombricompost treatments were the most affected by Alternaria solani and virus diseases. Chicken manure at 1.66 kg/m2 was the most damaged by nematodes. The lombricompost + chicken manure treatments showed the highest fruit worm infestation.
