Entrepreneurship education has become a major focus of interest for researchers and national policy makers to encourage students to pursue entrepreneurial careers. The research on entrepreneurship education–entrepreneurial intentions (EIs) has yielded mixed results, and indicates the need to focus on antecedents of EI. More precisely, the aim of this paper was to examine antecedents of students’ EI in French entrepreneurship education programs. Participants were 460 French university undergraduates. Structural equation modeling results revealed that students’ Psychological Capital (PsyCap) had a significant positive relationship with perceived learning from the program and a significant negative relationship with negative emotions related to entrepreneurial actions. They also show that PsyCap indirectly enhanced EI. More precisely, students with high PsyCap learned more from the program in terms of perceived skills and knowledge and in turn had a higher EI. Moreover, students with h...

2013
Entrepreneurial success should be viewed as a virtuous life mission that needs to be re-conceptualized. It was suggested in this study that entrepreneurial success should be more than just financially termed, based on positive psychology view. Psychological measures of success were asserted to be the next vital domain indicating entrepreneurial success besides financial measures. This study was essential because the findings could lead to more explorations of vital factors that lead to entrepreneurial success and to more comprehensive entrepreneurship theory in future research. Psychological states variables such as psychological capital and entrepreneurial work engagement were identified as the relevant factors to partly explain entrepreneurial success as conceptualized in this study. This research discussed entrepreneurial success from the perspectives of established entrepreneurs in Malaysia. The sample of entrepreneurs was drawn from a frame, which consisted of at least 502 small and medium service enterprises. The findings showed that both psychological capital and entrepreneurial work engagement were directly related to psychological measures of success but were moderately correlated to financial performance. The proposed domains, financial performance and psychological measures of success, were positively correlated as indicators of entrepreneurial success.

This research investigated the influence of entrepreneurial education (EE) on entrepreneurial behavior (EB) through psychological capital (PC). A cross-section survey data of 1,405 college students in China were used to test the proposed hypothesis based on human capital theory and PC literature. The research found that EE had direct effects on EB and on all four sub-constructs (hope, self-efficacy, resilience, and optimism) of PC, and that only self-efficacy positively correlated with EB and mediated the relationship between EE and EB while the other three components of PC did not. These findings contribute to the understanding of both educational and psychological effects on EB. The study also has practical implications for policymakers, managers, and educators in entrepreneurial education.

Entrepreneurship looks very delightful in terms of the weight it carries with it. Many entrepreneurs life reflects the truth that it needs immense psychological strength and a thorough understanding of self to live a life of an entrepreneur. Every entrepreneur undergoes various psychological pain without knowing even that they are in pain, and at times learn to bear it, and which is why the students need to know what their psychological bearing ability is, in the sequel to assess their own potential to sustain in the entrepreneurial life. The bare minimum psychological bearing is Accountability for self-actions, Financial stability, and stress of financial instability and uncertainty of starting up and its implications. The reluctance of trust, the work-life balance issues, and on top of it, working lonely and for quite long hours are other requirements. Apart from the above, the "entrepreneurial ecosystem" is another important element that influences the psychological bearing issues in a student from making a decision to be an entrepreneur. The ecosystem has complex and uncontrollable elements and yet (ecosystem itself) uncontrollable too. Sometimes it is conducive and at time inhibitive. The elements basically involve around individuals, organizations or institutions, at times closely related and often unrelated. The other important stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem include the government, schools, universities, private sector organizations, investors, banks and other organizations of importance and any isolation of elements of an ecosystem is never sufficient. The psychological strength that the entrepreneur gains are when the entire ecosystem and its elements like the human capital, finance, the government policies, and conducive economic situation, which more often is volatile and at times uncontrollable. The psychological strength in taking entrepreneurship and the risk involved in it, is another important area of psychological bearing, that entrepreneurs often are unable to believe or even able to perceive the levels, and the level of ambiguity that is impossible to control it.

The research aims to analyze and estimate the effects of entrepreneurship education and psychological capital on the sustainable entrepreneurship intention of university students in Hanoi by information from a review of pertinent literature and a random survey with 408 students in Hanoi. We mainly used quantitative research methods, particularly using the linear regression model with SPSS and SEM to verify. The findings show that both entrepreneurship education and psychological capital positively impact students' sustainable entrepreneurship intentions. Moreover, all 4 components of psychological capital: (1) selfefficacy, (2) optimism, (3) hope, and (4) resiliency are also proven to affect it positively, especially for resiliency. Based on the results, we proposed several solutions to promote the sustainable entrepreneurship behavior of students in Hanoi.
In the recent days, efforts are taken for emergence of entrepreneurs in India. Various reasons which could be attributed for these causes are less job opportunities, dislike of monotonous desk jobs, stereotype work style, less creative work environment etc. An individual requires entrepreneurial intention for planning one's life. This study has explored the important factors which influence the entrepreneurial intention of students. Entrepreneurial intentions are the orientation of the individual to become self-employed and apply one's creativity. Self-leadership is the individual ability to influence one's thoughts and behaviour to achieve one's goals. Psychological capital is the positive psychological state of development, namely hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism. These two variables are to predict the entrepreneurial intentions of the students. Random sample technique was used to collect the data from 120 post graduate students using the Self-leadership and Psychological Capital Scales to measure the independent and the dependent variables. The dependent variable of the study was Entrepreneurial Intentions. The study assessed the level of entrepreneurial intentions of the students and later on assessed whether Self-leadership and Psychological capital influence entrepreneurial intentions. The Revised Self-Leadership, the Generalised Psychological Capital Scales and Entrepreneurial Intentions Questionnaire were used for the study. Descriptive and inferential statistics like Step wise Regression were used to analyse the data collected. The findings shows that only selfleadership has influence on entrepreneurial intentions and the relationship is inverse that is more the self-leadership lesser is the entrepreneurial intentions.
