Searching in the Literature for Theoretical Dimensions to Support the Modelling of Children's Legal Education (original) (raw)
The article presents a literature review and the analysis of official European documents and law, in order to establish theoretical dimensions for the modelling of children's legal education. Legal education is necessary for the sustainable development of individuals and their successful integration, from early childhood, into society. A citizen may fully participate in society once they are aware of their rights and duties, thus understanding and respecting the laws, rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of other people. Individuals who are unaware of their rights and freedoms and their boundaries often become victims of crime or offenders of the law. These factors support the need for and the significance of legal education.
