The present study aims to investigate the relation between anxiety and mental health of adolescents. These were studied with respect to different demographic variables like gender, locality and academic stream. Sample included 150 randomly selected adolescents i.e. 75 male and 75 female adolescents from various colleges of Education at Rohtak . For obtaining the data on Anxiety and Mental Health, Sinha's Comprehensive Anxiety Scale by Sinha & Sinha (1955) and Mental Health Checklist (MHC) by Kumar P (1992) were used respectively. The findings of the study suggest that there lies significant difference in anxiety and mental health of male and female adolescents as well. It was further concluded that there lies a high co-relation between anxiety and mental health of adolescent.

Anxiety is a cardinal symptom of many psychiatric disorders and an almost inevitable component of many medical and surgical conditions. Indeed, it is a universal human emotion, closely allied with appropriate fear and often serving psychologically adaptive purposes. Some responsible effects are associated with anxiety physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioral effects. Introduction: Test anxiety is a combination of physiological over arousal tension and somatic symptoms along with worry, fear of failure and catastrophizing that occur before and during test situation this anxiety creates significant barrier to learning and performance. Researcher suggest that between 25-40% of student experience test anxiety. Directly or indirectly test anxiety affects the academic performance of student. Highly test-anxious score about 12 percentile points below their low anxiety peers. Test anxiety is prevalent amongst the student population of the world. Test anxiety prevalence has been reported as 10-41% in school age children. There are several different estimates for the prevalence of test anxiety with number ranging from 10-30% among high school and university students. The main objective of the study is to assess the level of test anxiety as measured by test anxiety scale among senior secondary school students. Material and Methods : In the present study quantitative approach with non-experimental, "descriptive study design" was used. The study was done at selected school of Haldwani , Uttarakhand on 110 participants. The participants were selected through the random sampling technique. The researcher used test anxiety scale comprises of 25 statement with 4-point Likert scale, to assess the level of test anxiety among senior secondary school students Result :The findings of the study show that 72 % of the participants having moderate test anxiety, 28% having severe test anxiety and no participants have mild test anxiety, when measured through the structured tool for assessing the level of test anxiety. And there was one significant association between test anxiety and one selected demographic variable i.e. occupation of father, whereas there is no significant association between other selected demographic variable. Conclusion : The investigator observed that the level of test anxiety among senior secondary school students in selected school of haldwani, where 28% have severe anxiety and 72% have moderate anxiety.
Study of Anxiety in Relation to Academic Achievement among 4 th Class Students
Anxiety is one of the major predictors of academic performance. Students with anxiety disorder display a passive attitude in their studies such as lack of interest in learning, poor performance in exams, and on assignments. This research observes the relationship between anxiety level and students' academic achievement. The test to find out a significant correlation of anxiety and academic achievement was has carried out among fourth grade students. A total 100 males and females student participated in this test. Spence children's anxiety scale was used to measure anxiety and the aggregate score of the selected students in the annual examinations was taken to show their level of achievement. The results reported that there exists a negative and significant relationship between anxiety and academic achievement. It was found that there is a negative and significant correlation (r=-0.447) between academic anxiety and academic achievement.
Academic Anxiety of Secondary School Students in Murshidabad District, West Bengal, India
Anxiety is a common phenomenon of daily life. It plays a fundamental role in human life. Generally, anxiety is a physiological and psychological state which is characterised by emotional, cognitive, somatic and behavioural aspects. Academic anxiety is a state anxiety which related to the impending danger from the environment of the educational institution together with teacher, certain subject like Mathematics, English, science etc. In the present study, investigator intended to study the academic anxiety among secondary school students in the district of Murshidabad of West Bengal in India. Researcher has been used Academic Anxiety Scale for Children (AASC) by A.K. Singh & A. Sen Gupta for data collection. A quantitative descriptive research design has been developed and properly applied for this purpose. The study revealed that no significant difference has been found between male and female secondary school students on the variable of academic anxiety.
A REVIEW ON STUDIES RELATED TO ANXIETY OF HIGHER SECONDARY STUDENTS

This review has made the researcher with vast knowledge and in depth understanding of the various concepts related to the Anxiety of Higher Secondary students. It enlightened the researcher to have a firm foundation and paved the way for his study. It enabled the researcher to select the necessary research tools for this study. The researcher (i) Summarize major contributions of significant studies and articles to the body of knowledge under review, maintaining the focus established in the introduction. (ii) Evaluate the current "state of the art" for the body of knowledge reviewed, pointing out major methodological flaws or gaps in research, inconsistencies in theory and findings, and areas or issues pertinent to future study. (iii) Conclude by providing some insight into the relationship between the central topic of the literature review and a larger area of study such as a discipline, a scientific endeavor, or a profession.
To Study Level of Examination Anxiety Due To Educational Performance

The present study was conducted in Lucknow district of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Purpose of the study was to assess the level of anxiety of adolescent girls during examination and factors influencing anxiety level of adolescent girls. 100 adolescent girls of age group of 12-18 years have been taken for the study by simple random sampling technique. SEAT (Students" Examination Anxiety Test) by Agarwal & Kaushal (1995) was administered to find out the level of anxiety of adolescent girls. Data was collected and analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage and Chi-square ( 2).Results revealed that most of girls had extremely low anxiety level during examination. After analysis of data it was found that there is a significant relationship between age, mothers" education, fathers" occupation, family type, family size, and birth order and anxiety level of adolescent girls. There is also a significant relationship between anxiety level of adolescent girls and educational performance.
University students suffer to some levels of study anxiety, such as; have new experiences, environment and situation. Study anxiety is a real phenomenon. Campus environment has universal access to increase study anxiety among students. The prevalence of study anxiety has been acknowledged by students and educators. However, no current research exists to identify the study anxiety sources among university students. In this research, we present a survey aimed to identify of study anxiety sources among university students. The survey involves 770 students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The survey asks students about experiences, feelings and thoughts related with anxieties during study process. The results identify seven sources. But, there are five potential sources of study anxiety; exam anxiety, class presentation anxiety, mathematic anxiety, language anxiety and social anxiety. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data which was run in SPSS 16.0. The results will be used to address study anxiety sources among university students.
Measurement of secondary school students’ test-anxiety levels and investigation of their causes

Test anxiety is concerned about a large portion of our society (students, family environment). The portion affected from the test anxiety is increasing year by year. Test anxiety is not related with studying or studying much. The idea that studying much and getting new knowledge cause anxiety and stress is common. A student being tired by studying much can rest after a brief relaxation and exercise. What creates the anxiety is the fear of being unsuccessful and the thought that is the end of some values because of the failure. Determination of students' test anxiety is very important for the success in applied teaching activities. In this study intending to determine secondary school students' test anxiety, test anxiety scale and data collected from interviews were evaluated from the view of gender, class grades and enrolled educational institutions. After the analyses gained by descriptive statistical techniques and One-Way ANOVA, it was found that the students had mid-level test anxiety, and girls had higher test anxiety level than boys.
A Study of Student's Examination Anxiety
The present study is about the anxiety level of students during examination. Anxiety is a phenomenon that people frequently encounter in their daily life. Anxiety can be described as the tense, unsettling anticipation of a threatening but vague event; a feeling of uneasy suspense. Anxiety is a very complex human reaction that has both physical and mental elements to it. The physical elements include things such as sweaty palms, accelerated heartbeat, and a queasy stomach. The mental elements include self-doubts and constant worry about things. There are different type of anxiety like trait anxiety and state anxiety.
