INTRODUCTION Bangladesh is a major agricultural country. About 87 percent of rural households at least part of their income [1]. Agriculture is the principle of life. Agriculture provides us with food, fodder, and fuel. An agricultural robot, define as an agribot, is a robot designed for use in the agriculture industry. Agribots automate tasks for farmers, boosting the efficiency of production, and reducing the industry's reliance on manual labor [2]. Govt. should be a priority on robotics agriculture because if compared to the other globalization, the usage System of agri make some advancement in this field [3]. Recently, many agricultural tasks have been computerized by several programs and technologies such as robots which are accessible remunerative [4]. This kind of robot is helpful and also user friendly. Nowadays, several industrial applications like material handling, material transfer; processing, inspection & quality control have been used by robots. In recent years, agriculture was most obvious of the idea of mechaniza agricultural field. The aim of usage robots in agriculture to improve food quantity and productivity, reduce labor costs and time. The main reason for robotic agriculture is the unavailability manpower in the agricultural sector and it affects the growth of developing countries [5]. The usage of the robot in agriculture has lots of purposes. Significant value to farmers is provided by the use of robots in agriculture activities. Now robots are successfully used in agriculture like seeding, Irrigation, harvesting, weed control, grove supervision, and etc. significant value to farmers is provided by the use of robots in agriculture activities. When robots are used in the agri environment by use censor, and analyzed the data, take decisions based on data, send commands to take action, automatically stop the robot. Agricultural robot sensors play a key role.Recent emerging applications are robots or drones for weed control. Now need to find more new ways to improve efficiency.

Review of Robots in Agriculture

The art of growing plants, which is a part of agriculture has seen enormous change in modern day. In olden days' technology was not developed that much. Operations like seeding, plowing, weed cutting etc. were done by hand. Then technology emerged and human operated machines were discovered. In modern days' robotic technology has been introduced in order to perform the regular agricultural chores. The introduction of robotics has made the operations autonomous and semi-autonomous. This article provides a brief survey on various kind of robotic technology used in farming, and an idea of multi-talented robot has been presented.

Application of Robotics in Modern Agriculture

JUST AGRICULTURE, 2021

With the global population expected to reach 9 billion by 2050, agricultural production must double if it is to meet the increasing demands for food and bioenergy. Given limited land, water, and labor resources, it is estimated that the efficiency of agricultural productivity must increase by 25% to meet that goal while limiting the growing pressure that agriculture puts on the environment. Robotics and automation can play a significant role in society meeting 2050 agricultural production needs. This article majorly focuses on the application of robotics in agriculture, and how it can help farmers by reducing their workload and enhancing their income.

A Review on Applications of robotics in Agriculture

2020

Over past few decades, the agriculture industry has faced new challenges. Previously, self-sufficiency in food and rural migration to cities were the significant concerns. With the advancement of science, more challenges now threaten this industry. Food security is a global concern. Governments worldwide are facing unprecedented rise in demand for food, human population is growing rapidly, but land and agriculture resources remain the same, and in some cases it’s even shrinking. The projected world's population to grow to more than 9.15 billion by 2050 (Kondo et al., 1996). Therefore, the challenge for the next decades will be to supply the needs of the expanding world population by developing a highly productive agriculture management, also at the same time preserving the quality of the environment (Rubens et al., 2010). Most of the developing countries including India facing agricultural labour shortage problem. A major portion of youths from village migrating to urban for led...

Agriculture Robot for Cultivation of Paddy & Wheat Crops

2021

Agriculture is an essential part of the survival of humans. The farmers who do agriculture spend most of their time ploughing the field and watering the field etc. In the Indian GDP agricultural sector share is 20.5%. In India, almost 50% population depends on the agricultural sector. So, the agricultural system in India is most important and should be advanced to reduce the efforts of farmers. Presently, In some rural villages, small landholding farmers still use work bulls for land preparations. These work bulls are also used in ploughing. And in other villages in which technology is not developed much, there farmers are using tractors for field preparation and ploughing. Robotics is a fascinating field of engineering which provides many opportunities to explore the field. For controlling the robot manually one can make use of a Bluetooth module or WiFi module. Farmers today spend a lot of money on machines that help them decrease labour and increase the yield of crops but the pro...

Application of robotics in changing the future of agriculture

Journal of Eco-friendly Agriculture, 2022

Agricultural production system has witnessed drastic changes in the last few decades with advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence based technologies. Scarcity of labour during peak cropping season has also highlighted the need for an alternative option for safe and sustainable agricultural system using IoT, machine learning and robotics for carrying out agricultural operations. Augmented use of electronics and computer application has made the working of robotic system possible for various field operations viz. transplanting, harvesting, and interculture, etc. for agricultural as well as horticultural crops. These technologies can be integrated with vision based system and GPS for more precise application. Robotic transplanter for transplanting plug-type seedlings may be a good option for future agriculture. It can use robotic arm, manipulator and an end-effector to perform the operation by using computer vision and motion planning algorithm or an artificial intelligence system. The application of robotics will help in various field operations for movement, localization, capturing, targeting and moving to the next target using drones for addressing spatial as well as temporal management of crops. Same operation can be used in spraying, weeding as well as harvesting of fruits. However, the robotic technology seems to be at nascent stage and there is a need to adopt these technologies due to non-availability of labour and their higher wages and to ensure timeless in field operations. Although many research attempts have been made for development of robots for agriculture application, more research should be focused towards the development of next generation robots for difficult and labourious farm operations.

Scientific Trends and Role of Robots in the Agricultural Sector

International Journal of Advanced Networking and Applications

The agriculture sector is essential to implement the automation technology to grow rapidly for better results and to produce crops for the requirement of the world population in the present scenario. Present existing technology and old mythologies and tools and types of machinery are not sufficient to achieve the targets. The enhanced technology and optimized energy utilization tools are straightaway to be adopted in the form of information technology machines that are more effective with old methods. The precision formation has revealed the advantages of machinery technology but needs to improve more for the next new equipment for the coming generations, which we call robotics technologies. The initiation of an autonomous system gives us a better prospect to build up a completely new variety of farming kits with the support of small elegant equipments like types of machinery which will do an accurate process, at the right time with the exact place, in the correct approach. A machine that contains an automatic control mechanism tracks the front running vehicle and follows, which has advantages of both vehicles that can be controlled and monitored effectively by a single driver in large farming sectors.
