The Role of Employee Engagement on Job Satisfaction and Its Effect on Organizational Performance

The purpose of this research was to analyze the role of employee engagement from the perspective of job engagement and organization engagement on job satisfaction and its effect on organizational performance. This research was conducted at a multinational manufacturing chemicals company located in Tangerang and Cilegon. The population was approximately 121 employees consisting of three job levels: Manager, White Collar, and Blue Collar. A target sample determined approximately 93 employees. Sampling using a non-probability sampling approach with a quota sampling method. The questionnaire was distributed to the population, but only 86 respondents filled out and returned the questionnaire. Method of hypothesis testing using Partial Least Square of Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The Effect of Work Satisfaction on Employee Engagement

The study aims at examining the effect of work satisfaction on employee engagement. The study was conducted using the quantitative method. The population consists of the employees of telecommunication network providers in the industry. The numbers of employees eligible to be included in the population were 14,000 people (2015), which came from various managerial levels. Upon restricting the population three managerial levels, including senior leaders, line managers, and supervisors, the number went down to 8,064 people. For the study, samples of 100 respondents were chosen using multistage-random sampling. The data were processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of the study showed that in telecommunication network providers, work satisfaction could increase employee engagement. Work condition was the dominant driver in increasing employee engagement, followed by work relationship and promotion. Work conditions include work security, work comfort, stress levels, working hours, and management policies. These aspects could provide the highest support in shaping employee engagement. The results of this study provide an implication for telecommunication network providers in Indonesia, which is that employee engagement was mainly driven by employee satisfaction with their work condition, work relationship, and promotion.

Analysis of factors influencing pharmaceutical sales workforce engagement in pharmaceutical marketing in Nigeria: a structural equation modeling approach

Increased Engagement or Reduced Exhaustion: Which Accounts for the Effect of Job Resources on Salesperson Job Outcomes?

Given the stressful nature of sales jobs, research has historically emphasized the importance of reducing exhaustion for promoting desired salesperson job outcomes. Building on data provided by 235 B2B salespeople, this study finds that while reducing exhaustion is important, enhancing engagement may be more critical. Specifically, the results reveal that engagement mediates the effects of customer orientation, training, and supervisor support on sales performance, but exhaustion does not. Furthermore, the results indicate that exhaustion and engagement both mediate the effects of supervisor support on turnover intentions. Implications of the study's findings for theory and practice are discussed.

The relationship between job satisfaction, job performance and employee engagement: An explorative study

Successful organizations know that employee satisfaction, performance and employee engagement are crucial. This research was conducted to examine what contributes to a satisfied employee by examining a number of factors such as job fit, good communication, appreciation and clear objectives. The study will also look at the roles of the organization and individual in employee satisfaction. Job performance, another key success factor for organizations, will also be examined. The link between employee satisfaction and performance findings will be illuminated and related examples of what can be done to improve both variables will be provided. Finally, this study discusses employee engagement which combines the above topics and much more including definitions, organizational success, and how to develop a successful employee engagement program. This study will also provide compelling information that will help to understand the advantages of having satisfied and high performing employees as well as using the power of employee engagement to be competitive and profitable.

Job Satisfaction as Predictor of employee engagement

The current study aims to investigate the extent of job satisfaction contribution to employee engagement. Employee engagement has been found as being important to employee productivity and organization performance. Participants were 110 employees of a private property company in Makassar, Indonesia. A self-administered questionnaire was used to measure job satisfaction and employee engagement. Simple multiple regression showed that Job satisfaction was significantly predicted employee engagement (R 2 = .561, p<.05) Additionally, multiple regression highlighted factors of job satisfaction such as operating conditions, coworkers, nature of works, and communication significantly contributed to employee engagement whereas promotion, pay benefit, and reward were found to be insignificant. These results suggest that increasing job satisfaction can potentially leverage employee engagement. However, only three out of seven factors of job satisfaction contributed significant effect to the employee engagement. Future research is needed to test whether these findings can be found in other company with the same type of business and other types of business.

The Influence of Employee Engagement, Work Environment and Job Characteristics on Job Satisfaction and Performance

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the relationship between job features, job satisfaction, and employee performance. This study employs an associative research type with a quantitative methodology. In this study, 115 people made up the sample, which was collected through saturation sampling. A questionnaire was used to collect the data, and the path analysis test was used to assess it. The findings indicated that employee work satisfaction is significantly influenced by employee involvement. The findings demonstrated that employee job satisfaction is significantly influenced by the workplace. Employee work happiness is significantly influenced by job features. Employee performance is significantly impacted by employee engagement. Employee performance is significantly impacted by the workplace. Job characteristics have a significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance.

ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE: THE IMPERATIVES OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND JOB SATISFACTION

This study investigated the relationship between employee engagement, job satisfaction and organizational performance. The paper employed a descriptive research design. Data were collected from two selected companies in Lagos State Nigeria, covering a sample of 80 respondents. The data collected through self-administered questionnaire were analyzed with the use of regression analysis. The findings indicated that employee engagement and job satisfaction have positive significant relationships with organizational performance. Based on the results, the study, recommends that managers of organizations should create the working environment that foster employee engagement and job satisfaction, if they desire to achieve increased organizational performance.

Determination of Motivation and Performance: Analysis of Job Satisfaction, Employee Engagement and Leadership

This article aims to review and synthesize a literature review related to employee performance, motivation, job satisfaction, employee engagement, and leadership and to see the research results of the variables that will be reviewed and whether there is an influence between one variable and another. This study uses a literature review by looking for references related to related variables. This study provides an overview of the articles obtained by describing the influence between variables. The results of the study show that several variables influence the evidence of exposure in a matrix. The employee performance study in this literature review article explicitly focuses on supporting variables that can improve employee performance, namely motivation, job satisfaction, employee engagement, and leadership.
