Online learning effect of post pandemic COVID-19: a survey at universities in Indonesian

The problem and the aim of the study. WHO has determined that COVID-19 is a pandemic, because it has become epidemic in all corners of the world. The effect of the spread of this pandemic, learning must change from the habits that have been done so far, such as learning is done online using several platforms as learning media. For more than two years, COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic, although until now signs of the spread of COVID-19 have decreased, but who has not lowered the level from pandemic to endemic. For more than two years the learning was also conducted online, causing many problems for students. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of online learning that has been carried out during the two years of the COVID pandemic. Three parts are examined in this study, namely the obstacles faced by students when carrying out online learning, student strategies to overcome these obstacles, and how students expect online learning to continue. Research methods. This research is qualitative research with the type of case study. Respondents in this study were 795 students in Indonesia. The instrument used in this study was 12 open questions which were divided into 5 parts, namely: respondent's identity, confirmation that the university had implemented online learning, obstacles faced by students, solutions made by students, and student expectations. This instrument is given online via a Google Forms. The data that has been obtained, then grouped into 4 groups with the help of Nvivo, then interpreted and described by the researcher. Results. The results showed that 83% experienced problems when online learning was implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia for 2 years. The majority of obstacles faced by students include inadequate internet network, equipment used, high internet quota, communication methods, too many assignments, and difficulty understanding the material presented. In conclusion, the implementation of online learning, students experience various obstacles. It was recorded that of 795 respondents, there were 83% experienced problems when implementing online learning. World Health Organization (WHO) has designated Covid-19 as a global pandemic because it has the opportunity to infect populations around the world. Therefore, in an effort to break the chain of spread of Covid-19, the Minister of Education and Culture issued a regulation on Learning during the pandemic, namely the learning process carried out remotely from home through online learning. This makes the use of social media or video conferencing an urgent matter to replace the learning system which is usually face-to-face method. In this study, we conducted research on understanding the urgency of the use of online learning media at vocational school. Experiments were done using online during student study services (namely Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN)). The effectiveness and understanding of students are the main focus in this research to create online learning that is effective, innovative, and creative.

The use of ICT and online learning applications during the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia Objectives: This study aims to describe the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) and online learning applications on the quality of education during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: The research was conducted in the college using a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected through structured interviews, observation, and document analysis. Findings: The results showed that: first, the use of ICT and online applications in college increased during the pandemic; second, by using ICT and online learning applications, the teaching and learning process for lecturers and students become more independent, creative, flexible, and encourage students to increase their academic product; third, the academic products of lecturers and students experienced a significant increase. Conclusion: Understanding the magnitude of the impact of ICT on improving academic quality, can encourage the college to develop ICT.

By the end of 2019, the Covid-19 virus was causing concern around the world. It quickly claimed Indonesian government attention-especially as the government was already anticipating a spread of online education technology around the world that was already underway. The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture appealed to educators for help in the creation of online programs. Researchers have tried to assess the ability of Indonesian tertiary level students to adapt to and implement online education technology. Several Indonesian universities participated in this survey. A Likert 5 item questionnaire is using to construct a "TRI" index (Index of technological preparedness). Data analysis employed descriptive statistics. Results suggest that many tertiary-level students happily agree to online lectures. Respondents were in happy agreement that online education removes inhibitions of time and distance. However, there were quite a several students who expressed anxiety at being unable to connect with necessary networks at specific times of the day. This level of insecurity in the students is different from and separate from any other feelings of dissatisfaction with the course of lectures provided.
