The sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) is a fairly new topic that has become a superior attention for the researchers recently. The current study is investigated empirically moderating effect of Supply chain dynamic capabilities (SCDC) on the relationship of SSCM practices and organizational sustainable performance (OSP) indicators namely; “economic performance, environmental performance, social performance” in the restaurant industry of Indonesia. For this purpose, data was collected from the 210 supply chain managers by using the simple random sampling technique which yield a 78% response rate. For data analysis Smart PLS 3 software and PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach was employed. The SEM analysis has shown, SSCM practices has a significant association with the OSP indicators. Moreover, the findings of the current study also shown that SCDC is significantly moderates on the relationship of SSCM practices and OSP in the restaurant industry of Indonesia. Thi...

Growing services companies caused a tighten business competition in market for shipping goods and document packages. Providing best service strategy and also presenting a variety of innovative services for delivering goods and document attract many consumers. The research has a goal to test whether there is an influence between strategic human resource management (SHRM), strategic supply chain management (SCM) through company capabilities on improving performance of Indonesian Postal Companies in Bekasi area. The research was conducted at Head Office of PT Pos Indonesia Bekasi City. Questionnaires of each variables distributed in form of questions that represent dimensions with a total sample of 156 respondents. To analyze data used SEM with help of AMOS software. Finally, following research results were obtained: (1) implementation of SHRM has a positive and significant effect on organizational capability; (2) implementation of SCM strategies has a positive and significant effect on organization capability; (3) implementation of SHRM has a positive and significant effect on SCM strategy; (4) organizational capability has a positive and significant effect on company performance; (5) implementation of SCM strategy has a positive and significant effect on performance through organizational capabilities and (6) level of implementation of SHRM has a positive and significant effect on company performance through organizational capabilities. From results of study, it is suggested that organizations focus more on developing organizational capabilities, especially through strategic HRM as business partner and SCM strategy.
Managing Workforce Diversity in Supply Chain Integration for Improved Business Performance
Book Publisher International (a part of SCIENCEDOMAIN International), 2021
Today, with increasing globalization, workforce diversity management is attracting strategic attention. Businesses are under increasing pressure to employ people from diverse backgrounds and different cultures as a survival strategy than as an operational issue. To achieve improved business performance in such environments, the role of diverse workforce management cannot be overemphasized. The critical question that emerging research must address is:” is it even worth managing diverse workforce?” This study partly addresses this question by examining the implication of managed-workforce diversity (MWD) on internal supply chain (SC) integration and business performance. Data was collected from one hundred and twenty-six respondents using mainly questionnaires. Rigorous statistical analysis involving ANOVA, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and then confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) in LISREL 8.5 was carried out to validate the research instrument and the data collected. This study concludes that MWD is beneficial in enhancing internal SC integration and SC responsiveness, which in term enhances business performance; and that SC integration acts as a conduit through which MWD influences business performance. We accordingly argue that effective workforce diversity management (which is creating a positive affective climate where employees do not feel intimidated, looked down upon, or discriminated against just because of background differences) is a very necessary strategy for positively driving business performance through internal SC integration and responsiveness. We also argue that while each focal firm within the supply chain network could benefit individually from managing its diverse workforce, aligning such initiatives or efforts with that of members at either stream could be beneficial for an extended SC integration. The managerial implications and the theoretical relevance of the study’s findings are discussed in detail in the subsequent sections.

Sustainability issues have been on the rise due to negative impacts of organizational practices on the environment. The logistics sector has been known as a major contributor in polluting and consuming enormous amount of resources. This study therefore aims to provide insight into how sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) influences performance of organizations operating in the logistics sector. This study went further to focus on the intermediary function of competitive advantage in the SSCM and organizational performance relationship. Questionnaires were distributed to solicit information from 190 logistics managers. Data were analysed using partial least square method of structural equation modelling. Analysis of the data indicates that SSCM significantly and positively influence competitive advantage and organizational performance. In addition, competitive advantage also proved to significantly influence organizational performance. Competitive advantage indirectly has a significant impact on the SSCM and organizational performance relationship. The findings of the study provide key information to managers and academics in understanding the essence of integrating sustainability in supply chain management (SCM) and how the integration influences organizational performance in the current business and industrial setting.

This research aims to determine whether there is an impact of green competitive advantage in supply chain management with green human capital as the moderating variable on company performance. In this study, the dependent variable used is company performance (Y), the independent variables are green competitive advantage and supply management (X), and the moderating variable is green human capital. Is this study, a non-probability sampling method was used. 50 textile companies in Jakarta were gathered as sample using non-probability sampling. Primary data was colleted by distributing closed questionnaires. The results of the study be seen through the determination coefficient of Ta given in Table Ta. The R-Square value of the company performance variable is 0.919, which shows that the dependent variable (Company Performance) can be explained by 91.9% of the independent variables (Green Competitive Advantage, Supply Chain Management, Green Human Capital) while the remaining 8.1% canno...

The study aims to show the impact of green supply chain management practices and their impact on achieving competitive advantage in industrial organizations in Jordan. Descriptive and analytical approach was applied. The study sample of (200) employees in the supervision level(top management) in industrial organizations in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The researcher used a questionnaire to collect data that included the green supply chain management measure and the measure of competitive advantage, and verified indicators of its validity and reliability. The results of the study showed that the practices of green supply chain management in industrial organizations in Jordan came with a medium degree for all domains (green procurement, green manufacturing, green marketing) and the scale as a whole, and the competitive advantage in industrial organizations in Jordan came with a high degree for the scale as a whole and for the dimensions (creativity, quality, and Flexibility), while it was rated medium for the two dimensions (cost, and reputation). The results indicated that there is a statistically significant effect at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between green supply chain management prctices and all dimensions of competitive advantage (cost, quality, creativity, reputation, flexibility) and competitive advantage as a whole in industrial organizations.
