Every country tries to achieve maximum economic development. The economic development of a country to a large extent depends on human resources. But human resources alone will not produce economic development-there must be dynamic entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs perform vital functions in economic development. Entrepreneurship plays a premium mobile role in industrial development. Industrial development through the medium of small scale units is initiated and nurtured by entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship influences the process of industrialization. Government therefore is providing much thrust to entrepreneurship to generate employment. Hence, the present study is an attempt to know the socio economic conditions, factors influencing entrepreneurship, and the problems faced by the entrepreneurs in developing their enterprises particularly in Krishnapuram Village, Kadapa, YSR district.

A Study of Socio-economic Background of Entrepreneurs from Semi- urban Centers in Maharashtra.
Abstract: Entrepreneurs are growth drivers and change agents. Entrepreneurship is developed in a conducive, encouraging and supporting social, cultural, economical, technical and political environment. The quality of entrepreneurial force depends on these environmental factors. Social environmental factors such as, family background, caste and religion, social mobility and marginality determines entrepreneurial behavior. The teaching that one should earn his/her livelihood at own, motivates young ones to engage themselves in economic activities. Social status and identity are also significant contributors to entrepreneurship development. How favorable economic environment supports entrepreneurship growth in a big way, can be seen from industrially advanced countries such as, USA, Japan and Germany. This paper is an attempt to highlight on socio-economic background of small entrepreneurs from emerging semi-urban development centers in the state of Maharashtra. The sample entrepreneurs (274) were selected deliberately from four blocks/ talukas as these are fast developing business centers. The sample constituted 55.47 percent male respondents and 44.53 percent female respondents having different socio-economic backgrounds. The researcher has tried to examine as to whether there is association between educational, occupational and social backgrounds and entrepreneurial skills developed among the respondent entrepreneurs? What are the influential factors motivating them to select entrepreneurship? The skill levels of the entrepreneurs were classified as high, medium and low on the basis of average score computed on the basis of responses obtained in relation to 11 entrepreneurial skills. The inference of the study is that entrepreneurship skills depend on educational, occupational and social background of the entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs, as the study disclosed, have a very strong will to achieve, to be ahead of others, self-reliance and creation of separate identity coupled with making money/wealth out of their ventures.

Society and cultural background of a person plays a vital role in the life of entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs start ventures, and when they grow, society and economy of a country also grow accordingly. Entrepreneurial education is also important for the entrepreneurs and his/her behavior. Friends, family, and peers also give moral and financial support to the entrepreneur which help him to take a risk and implement new ideas. The main thing to study is how social-cultural factors affect the behavior of entrepreneur or want to be an entrepreneur. This paper focuses on the social and cultural factors like religion, family, financial status, education, and ethics which affect the person who is an entrepreneur or want to be an entrepreneur. In this paper researchers have also analyzed the role of family, peer persons, education to develop the entrepreneur behavior.
FACTORS AFFECTING THE GROWTH OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AMONG YOUTH IN INDIA
The growth of entrepreneurship leads to a positive economic growth. The youth of India are promoted through the environmental factors which shows rise in entrepreneurial spirit among youth. This research paper of our dissertation includes the environmental factors affecting the growth of entrepreneurship and interpretation of all the major psychological characteristics which lead to rise in growth of entrepreneurship in India. As per our interpretation of questionnaire which includes major psychological characteristics i.e. need for power, need for achievement, risk taking ability, strong will power and occupational background. The MSME's in India faces large number of issues starting from finances, to location to competition. It takes a lot survive in this highly competitive world. Through it all it's the entrepreneur who faces all of these factors. It is the entrepreneur who plays a major role in the economic development of the economy. It is he/she who has the passion, skill and zeal to start a venture on his/her own and continually work towards the excellence and the growth of the same. He/she works as a catalyst for change and also works towards the development of the people and places around him. He/she is a person who ideates and executes a plan first in his mind and then gets along with a team to actually implement his thoughts and ideas, thus making sure that he progresses along with his team and the productive development of the enterprise that he has started. He executes new techniques, new plans and ideas with care. But now there are so many problems he faces which includes the sources of capital, finding honest suppliers, finding loyal customers, finding right employees, unforecasted competition and also keeping in mind the ever changing industrial trends, rules and regulations brought up by the government. Objective of the Study Many researches and studies have been conducted to study the challenges, problems and risks faced by entrepreneurs in India. However very few researchers have made an in-depth study on the same, this study is focused on a detailed analysis of the kinds of problems faced by entrepreneurs. Methodology The study involves both the primary and secondary data and is empirical in nature with a sample size of 263 respondents taken randomly from the area of Mumbai and Pune in the state of Maharashtra. Limitations The study is based specifically in Mumbai and Pune, Maharashtra (only) wherein the entrepreneurs are selected at random. This research is based on the data received by interviewing the respondents personally, hence the given figures, to some extent, have the researchers' perception to the reply given by the respondent. Also, some respondents choose not to answer to some questions as they were unaware, did not face the situations or did not remember the situations accurately.
Demographic and Personal Factors influencing Entrepreneurial Success—Study based on MSMEs of Kerala
A Study was conducted among the entrepreneurs of Kerala and one of the purpose of the study was to find the significant factors influencing entrepreneurial success. The objective of the study was to identify the demographic and personal factors that significantly influence entrepreneurial success. Entrepreneurial success was constructed by economic success (indicated by net profit and capital growth), marketing success (indicated by turnover, market size, customer base, and market share), meeting obligations (indicated by meeting statutory obligations) and psycho socio satisfaction (indicated by entrepreneurial satisfaction) which formed the dependent variable of the current study. The independent variables included demographic factors such as gender and age of the entrepreneur, age of business, and district where the business was situated, and personal factors that included birth order of the entrepreneur among siblings, formal education of the entrepreneur, district where the business was situated, ethnic community of the entrepreneur, and migrant status of the entrepreneur. The following demographic factors were found significant in the study viz., age of the entrepreneur, age of the business, formal education of the entrepreneur, district where the business was situated, and the significant personal factors were birth order of entrepreneur among siblings, family concerned father, protective mother and capital resource of the venture.
