This study was done to check the reliability and validity of the instruments used for the current study to understand the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Managerial effectiveness. Primary data was collected from managers who were administered with two structured questionnaires, i.e. Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) and Managerial Effectiveness Questionnaire (MEQ). Secondary data and available data have been analyzed from existing reports and working paper series. The sample of the study comprised of 50 managers from the Industrial hub of Uttarakhand, in India, particularly from Haridwar and Dehradun. Uttarakhand is a recently formed state where not many studies have been done. Convenient sampling was adopted to select the respondents from the manufacturing industry.
