Abstract Aims and Objectives: This study was carried out to gauge the effectiveness of two available able tests in the detection of Hepatitis B and C viruses in blood donors in Sialkot. Since the presence of HBsAg and Anti-HCV are the most common marker for the detection of these lethal viruses in the blood, the accuracy of eliminating the potential of infected blood transfusion depends on the accurate recognition of the presence of these markers. Although the immune-chromatography (ICT) method is currently the most popular, the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is considered more reliable.
