The present study was an attempt to find out the difference in creative thinking abilities of senior secondary school students in relation to their intelligence. A number of 150 male and female respondents were taken as a sample on the basis of random sampling method. Standardized questionnaires â Creative Thinking Abilities by Mehdi (1985) and Intelligence Test by Jalota (1976) were used for the collection of the data. âtâ test was used to see the significant difference. The findings of the study reveal that (i) It was found that superior intelligent students and low intelligent students differ significantly on fluency superior intelligent students are higher fluency than the low intelligent students. Similarly, superior intelligent students and low intelligent students differ significantly on flexibility too. However, there is no significant difference found between superior intelligent students and low intelligent students regarding originality and creativity. It shows that originality and creativity are equally distributed between superior intelligent students and low intelligent students (ii) It was found that there is no significant difference between Average intelligent students and low intelligence students regarding all dimensions of creativity. It shows that all dimensions of creativity are equally distributed between Average intelligent students and low intelligent students; (iii) It was found that there is a significant difference between superior intelligent students regarding flexibility and creativity. It shows that superior intelligent students having more flexibility than Average intelligent students.
Relationship of Creative Thinking with the Academic Achievements of Secondary School Students
The major purpose of the present study was to explore the relationship between Creative Thinking and Academic Achievements of Secondary School Students. The study was conducted using survey design method. A total number of 256 students participated in the study. Participants were selected using random table. Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking [TTCT] was used to measure creative potential of participants on four elements. Pearson Correlation and one-way ANOVA were used to verify hypothesis. Results revealed a statistically significant relationship between i) creative thinking and students' academic achievements on different aspects of test of creative thinking, ii) creative thinking and academic achievements. However, the relationship could be altered when different level of academic achievement is examined and when creative thinking measure employed. The study has considerable implications for education as a whole.
CREATIVE THINKING ABILITY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL BOYS AND GIRLS - A COMPARATIVE STUDY
The present study focuses on the creative thinking ability of the primary school students with reference to their gender and type of school. In this context data were collected from 100 government ((50 boys & 50 girls) and 100 private primary (50 boys & 50 girls) school students. The study was conducted with the objectives like to compare the creative thinking ability of primary school boys and girls, to compare the creative thinking ability of government and private primary school students, to compare the creative thinking ability of government primary school boys and girls, to compare the creative thinking ability of private primary school boys and girls, to compare the creative thinking ability of government and private primary school boys, and to compare the creative thinking ability of government and private primary school girls. The findings of the study are the primary school boys and girls, students of government and private primary schools, government primary school boys and girls, government and private primary school boys differ significantly on their creative thinking ability whereas the private primary school boys and girls, and the government and private primary school girls do not differ significantly on their creative thinking ability
Creative Thinking Ability among High School Children

A sample of the study comprised of 300 high school children in the age group of 13-16 year from five urban high school of Dharwad taluk. Creative thinking scale developed by mehdi (1989) and creative thinking check list developed by AICRIP-CD Dharwad center (2010) were used to assess the creative thinking ability of children. The result of the study revealed that majority of children showed high level of creative thinking ability and none of them belonged to low category of creative thinking ability. There was no influence of type of school, age and gender on creative thinking ability of children.
Differences in Creative Thinking Abilities of High School Students from Village and City

This study aims to distinguish the creative thinking ability of high school students in Biology subject. This research method uses a quantitative approach and the type of research is descriptive. The population that used was all students of XII MIPA of high school in rural and urban areas by taking a sample of 30 students per each school. The instrument that used was a test of creative thinking ability on chapter 'Animalia' in the form of 40 multiple choice questions that contained indicators of creative thinking ability. This research used descriptive qualitative analysis with data collection techniques using cognitive observation techniques. The results showed that there was a difference between the student's ability to think creatively in rural school (village) and urban school (city).

Creativity Development of High-Achieving Students

Few studies on creativity have focused on creativity development in various grade levels for highachieving students. The purpose of this study was to explore the developmental trajectories of creative ability for high-achieving students. The participants constituted a national representative sample of 982 male (N = 506) and female (484) students from grades 1 to 10 in five governorates in Oman (Muscat, South-Al Batinah, South-Al Sharqia, Dhofar, and Al Dhakilia). The students completed two subtests of the Profile of Creative Abilities (PCA), a measure of creative potential, namely drawings and categories. There was an evidence of a developmental trend of creativity across grade levels. The Multi-variate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that the main effect of grade was statistically significant for the drawings subtest. Also, the main effect of gender was also statistically significant for the drawings subtest. The main effect of interaction (gender X grade) was not significant. Overall, females' creative performance was significantly better than males' in the Creativity Index score. The results of the study are discussed in the light of existing literature about developmental trends and gender differences in creative thinking.
Impact of Gender and Subject on the Creativity Level of High and Low Achievers
The aim of the study was to find out effect of gender and subject on the creativity level of students. Furthermore it was aimed at finding out differences in creativity level between high and low achievers. Sample (N=154) consisted of BS Hons' students of University of Sargodha. The sample was comprised of 76 high achievers and 78 low achievers and almost equal number of girls (n=76) and boys (n =78). Abedi Creativity Test was used to measure creativity level of University undergraduates. On the basis of Cumulative grade point averages (CGPA) of previous semesters (IV & VI), high and low achievers were selected as the participants of the study. Results have revealed that there was no significant effect of gender and subject of the students on the total score of creativity (p>.05) while it was revealed that pure science students scored high on originality as compared to arts students while no differences were found on other three subscales of creativity. The role of creative minds (creativity) in the process of academic achievement

This research examines the role of creative mind (creativity) in the process of academic achievement of fifth grade female students. The statistical population of the study consisted of all female elementary school students in the district 1 of Bandar Abbas (Iran). The results of this study indicate that according to (R 2 = 0.283) and (β = 0.532), and with regard to the significant level (P <0.01), it can be said that having creative minds has a significant effect on academic achievement (t = 11.27). One of the distinguishing features of human thinking is creativity, so efforts must be made to flourish this privilege. With the arrival of children in adolescence and high school, and due to the presence of an exam in Iran, people will be more effort and students may suffer from academic and personality problems, which can have adverse effects in having creative thinking.
Practicing Creative Thinking and Its Relation to Academic Achievement

Creativity is essential for survival and it is the path to progress and prosperity. Their creativity, innovation, invention and leadership measure the progress and development of nations. Creative thinking is one of the finest and highest skills and abilities that should be acquired by students in all different academic levels. The main objective of this study is to disclose the extent of practicing creative thinking and its relationship to academic achievement among students of the Jordan University of Science and Technology. The study was conducted on a sample of 1159 male and female students, who were chosen randomly. The study involved the following main question: To what extent are students of Jordan University of Science and Technology practicing creative thinking? It also contained three hypotheses: 1) There is a significant difference of practicing creative thinking among the students of Jordan University of Science and Technology due to gender; 2) There is a significant difference of practicing creative thinking among students of Jordan University of Science and Technology due to academic year; 3) There is a significant correlation between practicing creative thinking among students of Jordan University of Science and Technology and academic achievement. The results of the study indicated that students of Jordan University of Science and Technology are practicing creative thinking at a moderate level reaching 2.96 at Likert scale. Moreover, it revealed that there is a statistically significant difference in the level of practicing creative thinking due to gender favoring male students. A close relationship between the level of practicing creative thing and academic achievement was found, where 20% of the research sample having high academic achievement showed moderate level of practicing creative thinking.
