Abstract
Job satisfaction of tertiary-level teachers is crucial for a country as it is directly linked to quality higher education, research, and development. This study aims at measuring the level of job satisfaction of the tertiary-level teachers by investigating the factors that are directly or indirectly responsible for it. This study also conducts a statistical analysis to identify the differences in job satisfaction level that exist among different groups of faculty members. A questionnaire-based survey is conducted using both face-to-face and online platforms to collect data from the teachers of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh. We found that the average job satisfaction is 58.93 (on a scale of 100) which indicates a moderate level of job satisfaction among teachers.
