Abstract

Since their beginnings logic and mathematics have been very close to each other and there has been relationship between them in various kinds. It is seen historically that their relationships appear especially in cases in which one of them tries to help in solving problems the other has. In this paper, by focusing on basically three such cases, it is illuminated how the relationship between logic and mathematics occurs; what is more, it is clarified that their relationship makes, in general, great contributions to progress of logic.
