A busy lifestyle led people to buy readymade clothes from retail stores with or without fit-on, expecting a perfect match. The existing online cloth shopping systems are capable of providing only 2D images of the clothes, which does not lead to a perfect match for the individual user. To overcome this problem, the apparel industry conducts many studies to reduce the time gap between cloth selection and final purchase by introducing “virtual dressing rooms.” This paper discusses the design and implementation of augmented reality “virtual dressing room” for real-time simulation of 3D clothes. The system is developed using a single Microsoft Kinect V2 sensor as the depth sensor, to obtain user body parameter measurements, including 3D measurements such as the circumferences of chest, waist, hip, thigh, and knee to develop a unique model for each user. The size category of the clothes is chosen based on the measurements of each customer. The Unity3D game engine was incorporated for over...
Virtual Dressing using Augmented Reality
ITM Web of Conferences, 2021
With the rise in Virtual Reality technology now it is possible to bring the same experience of offline shopping in the online platform. Virtual Dressing using Augmented Reality is a platform where users can try clothes virtually. As users cannot physically try the dress in online mode this application will help the user to make a better judgement on how the dress will look on him. The proposed system will consist of an application where users can create their 3D model with just their pictures and can apply the garment on their model, which can be viewed in AR space to make a judgement of how the model looks on a person.
Now a days due to the commercial strength, virtual try-on of different things such as shirts, pants, skirts etc has received much attention. The paper represents a system for 3d virtual clothes try-on that enables a user to see himself/herself wearing virtual clothes on the screen. it is possible by just looking at a screen, without taking off his/her actual clothes. It is helpful for online shopping or fashion recommendation to nail down the selections to few designs and sizes. The user can select various virtual clothes for trying on the screen. The major contribution of this project is that we automatically sets an invisible (or partially visible) avatar based on the user's body size and the skin color and use it for proper clothes fitting, alignment and clothes simulation in our virtual try-on system. The system physically characterize the selected virtual clothes on the user's body which help the user to see virtual clothes fitting from multiple angles as he/she moves.

A Real Time Virtual Dressing Room Application Using Opencv a Project Report
The real time clothes trying having long waiting queues for trial rooms is a problem faced at many places and store. In this system, by using real time system cloth processing is done by data drive approach which is worn by human. To give exact look to skeleton, by using height, skin color, it starts creation of clone person which is prior to real-time simulation. We use hardware sensors like motion, light, camera sensors which are controlled by using GUI (Graphical User Interface) software. Hardware uses latest depth camera of Kinect Sensing element along Unity SDK. We use operating system which can communicate with the user friendly software which should manage the controllers. This proposed approach can offer good GUI which is user friendly to end user and also to retailer. Because of this user friendly system, it should increase the level of marketing more than current system. Proposed system should provide not only good solution for dressing but also can solve the issues which are related to retailer and end user.

advanced computer vision based virtual dressing room
Fashion coordination is one amongst the self-expressions which are perpetually in demands. looking for good attire, could be a time overwhelming task as well as several factors ought to be kept in mind. In this paper, we are introducing a “virtual dressing room (VDR)” is the online equivalent of an in-store changing room. It enables shoppers to try on clothes to check one or more of size, fit or style, but virtually rather than physically. We can shop terminal that integrates image matching, interactive sharing, shopping and making online payment by Open CV library. Open CV (computer vision) is the leading open source library for computer vision, image processing and machine learning. The proposed project defines the augmented reality mirror-image which is shown to the user on a display. This will give the user the impression that he or she wears the garment shown on the display. With the virtual dressing room this situation is no longer a problem as the customer simply steps in front of the web camera and instantly sees how the garments look on his or her body. For high quality body measurement, here we propose a body tracking algorithm which results the image by using perimeter analysis property. Finally, the payment is also done through online which results in time consumption. KEY WORDS: Open CV (computer vision), virtual dressing room (VDR), body tracking algorithm, perimeter analysis.

Our proposed approach is mainly based on extraction of the user from the video stream, alignment of models and skin color detection. We use the modules for locations of the joints for positioning, scaling and rotation in order to align the 2D cloth models with the user. Then, we apply skin color detection on video to handle the unwanted occlusions of the user and the model. Finally, the model is superimposed on the user i...

There are many e-commerce portals for other shopping needs, but there are very few for school products, but they do not fulfil all the needs of an individual. People have to go to the shop to buy uniforms and wait for the assistant to help them. After picking the piece, they can try the piece. This takes time and effort from both the assistant and customer, and due to COVID-19, people will stop trying products in trial rooms. This will reduce the traffic at shops and vendors will suffer a great loss. Motivation here is to save time for consumer and increase profits for vendor also to make the process of changing clothes a lot easier by making Virtual dressing room app which will be beneficial for both vendor and consumer. In this paper we propose an approach that can be implemented with the help of webcam which can be easily found on today's laptops and smartphones. It will capture the human body image and then it will separate it from the background image then user will select the product they want to wear then that product image will be superimposed on the human body image taken from the camera which was separated from the background. Finally, the user will see the superimposed image of cloth on their body. In this approach the problem can occur at the accuracy of the model as it can result into less accurate sizes due the camera quality of the camera which the user is using. The project is implemented using OpenCV library of python for object detection.
