Study of Fabrication of Multipurpose Tooling Machine

This paper deals with fabrication of multipurpose tooling machine. This machine is based on the mechanism of belt drive with pulleys, bevel gears, and scotch yoke. The various machining process in manufacturing industries are carried out by separate machining machine. It requires more space requirement and time with high expenses. But the fabrication of multipurpose tooling machine, which contains five operations in a single machine. The operations are namely drilling, shaping, cutting, buffing and grinding. It is a new concept specially meant to reduce the work time and save the cost. This machine can perform multipurpose operation at the same time with required speed and this machine is automatic which is operated by motor which is run with the help of electric power supply.

Design & development of multi orientation drilling special purpose machine subsystem

The growth of Indian manufacturing sector depends largely on its productivity & quality. Productivity depends upon many factors, one of the major factors being manufacturing efficiency with which the operation /activities are carried out in the organization. Productivity can be improved by reducing the total machining time, combining the operations etc. In case of mass production where variety of jobs is less and quantity to be produced is huge, it is very essential to produce the job at a faster rate. This is not possible if we carry out the production by using general purpose machines. The best way to improve the production rate (productivity) along with quality is by use of special purpose machine. Usefulness and performance of the existing radial drilling machine will be increased by designing and development of multispindle drilling head attachment. This paper deals with such development undertaken for similar job under consideration along with industrial case study. Multiple Operating Machines ( Drilling , Sawing , Shaping )

In an industry a considerable portion of investment is being made for machinery installation. So in this project we have a proposed a machine which can perform operations like drilling, sawing, shaping (grinding) some lathe operations at different working centers simultaneously which implies that industrialist have not to pay for machine performing above tasks individually for operating operation simultaneously. This paper presents the concept of Multi-Function Operating Machine mainly carried out for production based industries. We have developed a conceptual model of a machine which would be capable of performing different operations simultaneously and is also economically efficient. In this machine we are actually giving drive to the main shaft to which scotch yoke mechanism is directly attached, scotch yoke mechanism is used for sawing operation. On the main shaft a bevel gear system is used for power transmission at two locations.

This project emphasis on design and fabrication of multipurpose machine. The project aims at designing and developing a multipurpose machine tool which is capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously. The fundamental functions of machine tools are to transform the raw materials with given mechanical properties to the finished parts with required geometry, dimensions and surface quality. As the demands are increasing to produce parts with higher quality at reduced cost, the machine tools are required to have higher machining accuracy and speed. In this project we have a proposed a machine which can perform operations like drilling, cutting and grinding simultaneously which implies that industrialist have not to pay for machine performing above tasks individually for operating operation simultaneously.

Design and Fabrication of Multi Axis Drilling Machine

In this paper, controller based 3 axis drilling machines is implemented using Controller, controlling the whole operation. The main purpose of this project is to reduce the time consumed, hard work required and also to reduce the man power. This can be the new invention in the electronics industries which can increase the production rate with greater percent. We can also call it as automation because once you set all the parameters required, the machine will start working without any human interfere. Inspiring from this technology and revolutionary change in the world of digital electronics & Microcontrollers, we are presenting here an idea of "dpdt controller based 3 axis drilling machines". In old technology the main disadvantage of altering the position of the workpiece is that it reduces the accuracy of the finished components. So here in this project we have planned to use multi spindle drilling head instead of using single spindle. If we use multiple spindles than we can decrease the time required to complete the operation. This helps in reducing the cost price of drilling operation. So this system is one of the efficient process with increase in the accuracy of the operation.

Huge and complicated designed parts cannot be machined in ordinary machines. In a single machine all the above specified operations can be carried out after drilling operation by removing of drill head and using the required tools like grinding, tapping can etc. By this we can achieve our industrial requirements and production targets. Here we are going to and tapping operations in single setup of work piece.

Multi-Operational Mechanical Machines were originally developed primarily for production-based sectors. Industries are primarily designed for the low-cost production of valuable goods and services. The usage of technological innovation has made all tasks in today's society quicker and simpler, but it also necessitates significant financial investment. Every industry strives for high production while maintaining product standards and quality at low average costs. We have created a conceptual model of a device that can do multiple tasks simultaneously and with high effectiveness. This project's equipment is capable of drilling, sawing, cutting, and grinding operations all at the same time. Additionally, it lowers the expense of putting up four different machines for completing each duty reduces operator and work movement. Additionally, it will increase productivity and lower product costs.

Design and Synthesis of Multipurpose Hand Driller Machine for Various Processes

Multi-operation machine as a research area is motivated by questions that arise in industrial Manufacturing, production planning, and computer control. Consider a large automotive garage with specialized shops. A car may require the following work like replace exhaust system, align wheels and tune up. These three tasks may be carried out in any order. However, since the exhaust system, alignment and tune-up shops are in different buildings, it is impossible to perform two tasks for a car simultaneously. When there are many cars requiring services at the three shops, it is desirable to construct a service schedule that takes the least amount of total time. Industries are basically meant for Production of useful goods and services at low production cost, machinery cost and low inventory cost. Today in this world every task have been made quicker and fast due to technology advancement but this advancement also demands huge investments and expenditure. Every industry desires to make high productivity rate maintaining the quality and standard of the product at low average cost. Emerging technologies have provided some new growth in advanced manufacturing employment opportunities in the Manufacturing Belt in the United States. The project work is explained in brief here. For better understanding, the total project work is divided into various blocks and each block explanation is provided here. The following is the description of overall function of the module. So in this project work is proposed where a machine is designed which can perform operations like drilling, sawing, shaping, some lathe operations at different working centers simultaneously which implies that industrialist will not have to pay for machine performing above tasks individually for operating operation simultaneously. This can be done by reducing the machining time, combining the operations etc. Thus special purpose machines needs to be used and one such machine is multi spindle drilling machine which performs multiple drilling operations more accurately and conveniently. This paper presents the design and development of a multi spindle drilling machine which would have a higher productivity as compared to conventional drilling machines. The proper sequence wise design analysis of the components of multi spindle machine is discussed.
