Histórias divergentes na intelectualidade docente: trajetórias formativas nas memórias de professoras do ensino municipal de São Paulo (1964-1985) (original) (raw)

Revista Brasileira de História da Educação

The article analyzes, through the methodology of oral thematic history, an interview made simultaneously with three teachers who relate through their family and academic school journey, the process which caused them to become teachers starting in 1960s and their present political positions (2012), relative to education and to the São Paulo Municipal School system during the civil military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). The main objective is to show that their memories express individual and collective differences as well as the existence of other forms of expression of teacher intellectuality that emerge from tensions and contradictions experienced in their formative paths and not from political and educational academics which silence other voices, memories and knowledge.
