A Study of the Effects of Social Capital on Organizational Innovation

The present study aimed to examine the effects of social capital on organizational innovation in auto part makers companies. The experts of auto part makers companies (approximately 540 people) formed the study population and for sampling a stratified random sampling method has been applied. 225 people were selected as samples by using Cochran formula. Data were collected by means of distributing questionnaire and data analysis was done in two parts by using structural equation modeling and also LISREL 8.8 software, the two parts are: measurement model and structural part. In the first part the technical characteristics of the questionnaire were examined and have made necessary corrections and in the second part the structural coefficients of the model were used to examine the research hypotheses. The research's results suggest that social capital has a positive and significant effect on the organizational innovation in the study population so as to establish and strengthen innovation in organization should focus on the social capital's aspects and attempt for coordination of the cognitive, structural and relational aspects of social capital in organizations.

The importance of entrepreneurial orientation (EO), resource-based view (RBV), network types of social capital (SC) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have become the main focus in the manufacturing environment. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the moderating role of entrepreneurial behavior in the association between social capital and job performance among faculty members of the Qazvin University of Medical Sciences. Social capital is modern concepts which play more important role than physical and humanistic capital in organizations and societies. The most important element in social capital is a network of relations that is considered as a source of value creator for its people and organization. Several researches have shown that entrepreneurs are encountered with significant difficulties. The lack of knowledge and skill, the lack of financial resources and the lack of the support of social networks are considered as the obstacles of entrepreneurs' activities. The aim of this research is to study the effects of social capital on entrepreneurial orientation of people based on a correlativedescriptive method which study the relations based on trust and interactional relations among people as the elements of social capital and entrepreneurial orientation such as compatibility, ability for taking risk, the access to internal control resource and tolerating defeat and ambiguity. The understudied statistical population includes 150 managers of small and medium business of Fars provinces (Iran). The obtained result shows that there is a positive and meaningful relation between social capital and entrepreneurial orientation.

Investigation of The Impacts of Social Capital on Organizational Entrepreneurship in Tehran Municipality

Entrepreneurship is the symbol of endeavor and success in business, and entrepreneurs play a crucial role in economic and social development of communities. Since Organizational Entrepreneurship (OE) contribute to earning stable finance required for administration of urban affairs, it is very important in the case of municipalities. For this reason, this study aims to investigate the role of social capital (SC) in the development of entrepreneurship in Tehran municipality. Research method was descriptive and non-experimental, and required data were collected through 204 questionnaires distributed among managers and experts of the organization. Stratified sampling was used, in which 37 managers and 167 experts participated. Number of male participants was 147, and number of female participants was 57. The mean age of participants was 41 years, and its standard deviation was 0.765. In order to test the research hypothesis, structural equation modeling (SEM) was used. The results of the study showed that social capital and its three dimensions (Cognitive, Relational and Structural dimensions) had positive significant effect on organizational entrepreneurship.

Exploring the relationship between social capital, innovation capability and innovation

Social restrictions during the pandemic Covid-19 have direct impacts on the survival of Small and Medium Enterperises (SMEs), since every citizen limits his/her activities, schools, campuses are closed and residents are advised to remain silent and do work from home. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of social capital, business strategies, and innovation capabilities on business success. The study was conducted in Bali, Indonesia City with 145 samples taken based on a purposive sampling method and data analysis was accomplished using SEM-PLS. The results show that social capital was able to create and expand knowledge about customers, raw materials and competitors and is the key to obtain cheap and fast information that is useful for creating innovation. The support of parents, family members and business partners raise the confidence of entrepreneurs to achieve business success. Business strategy has a positive and significant effect on innovation capability and has no direct effect on success. The findings show that business strategy influences business success through innovation capabilities. At the time of the Covid-19 pandemic the business strategies developed and implemented by SMEs entrepreneurs in the city of Bali, Indonesia was not able to directly increase business success, but when they developed innovative business strategies, they were able to create something or a new system, unique and accepted by consumers, SMEs entrepreneurs success increases business. .

The role of social capital in fostering entrepreneurship in established organizations

This study investigates social behavior of employees and its effect on entrepreneurial activities. Social capital is a strategic resource available through the network of relationships may be exploited in the direction of organizational and individual objectives. The study posited that this powerful asset may be leveraged in fostering entrepreneurial orientation of employees, which is an antecedent for improving the performance. A developed survey was sent to a selected sample of academic staff in five public univer sities in Victoria. The collected data were subject to statistical analysis and the result was derived. The findings indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between social behavior and entrepreneurial orientation of academics. The predictability of entrepreneurial activities by social relationships was tested.

The innovative behaviour of employees within a small to medium sized enterprise: a social capital perspective

This research comprises an examination of some organisational factors that affect the transfer of knowledge used to develop the innovative behaviour of employees within a small-to-medium sized enterprise (SME). In particular, this research uses the dimensions of Social Capital Theory as a lens to provide insight into the relationship between tie strength (social networks), experience of trust and culture as well as their impact upon the innovative behaviour of employees. This study proposes a model that outlines and tests the impact of these three organisational factors upon the innovative behaviour of employees within an SME. In order to address the primary research questions and hypotheses, data was gathered utilising a triangulation of methods within a post-positivist paradigm.
