The purpose of the study was to find out the "Effect of aerobic dancing and yogic practices on selected health related fitness among college women students". Sixty women students from Savitri bai Phule, Pune University, India were selected at random as subjects. Their age was between eighteen and twenty five years. The study was formulated as pre and posttest random group design, in which sixty students were divided into three equal groups. The experimental group-1 underwent Aerobic Dancing (n=20 AD group), the experimental group-2 underwent Yogic Practices (n= 20 YP group) and group-3 (n=20, CG) served as control group. The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of low intensity and moderate intensity aerobic dance on total cholesterol and triglyceride in overweight and obese adulthood women. A total of 45 women aged between 20-30 years with BMI above 25 from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India voluntarily participated in this study. The participants were randomly divided into three groups namely Low Intensity n=15 (LI), Moderate Intensity n= 15 (MI) and the third was the control group n= 15 (CG). The two experimental groups underwent the specified aerobic dance routine for a period of 12 weeks: three times a week. Total cholesterol and triglyceride were tested in a standard laboratory. The Blood samples drawn from the subjects were tested at the beginning, mid (6 weeks) and after completion of the 12 weeks training programme. Descriptive statistics, ANCOVA and Turkey Post Hoc tests were used for the analysis of the collected data and level of significance (P) was fixed at 0.05 levels. Twelve weeks of low intensity and moderate intensity aerobic dance lead to a decrease in total cholesterol as significant difference was seen in the adjusted post test means of the experimental groups while no changes in the triglyceride was seen in any of the experimental groups after the training programme. In control group no significant difference was seen during any testing during the experimental period. Hence, it was concluded that low intensity and moderate intensity aerobic dance have a positive effect and contributes to good health in overweight and obese adulthood women.

Obese female youth show less participation in physical exercise and physical education programmes. This had led to poor conditions among them and justifies the need for them to engage in aerobic dance training. With obesity, numerous complications such as high blood pressure increase in heart rate and body mass index may arise. A structured exercise performed rhythmically to the tune of music to reduce these complications due to Aerobic dance exercise (ADE) of obese female youth in College of education Ila-orangun have been well reported. One hundred and seventy two (172) obese female youth were recruited from five schools within the college. The subjects were randomized into intervention group which participated in 12 week Aerobic Dance Exercises and the control group did not engage in an organized training. Heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body weight and body mass index was measured before and after training. Instrument used were sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, skinfold caliper, stadiometer, weighing scale and heart rate monitor. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics Analysis of covariance at 0.05 were used in analyzing the data. There were significant effects of treatment on body weight (F (1,165)=10.877;P< 0.05 ƞ 2 =0.037), percent body fat (F(1,165)= 12.379; P< 0.05 ƞ 2 =0.105); resting heart rate (F (1,165) =15.638; P< 0.05 ƞ 2 =0.056); systolic blood pressure (F (1,165) =14.486;P<0.05 ƞ 2 =0.016); diastolic blood pressure (F(1,165)=5.375; P<0.005 ƞ 2 =0.050) respectively. Aerobic dance exercise is capable of lessening high blood pressure, heart rate and body mass index associated with obesity, hence it should be included in the school curriculum.

Walking and yoga have been independently evaluated for weight control; however, there are very few studies comparing the 2 with randomization. The present study compared the effects of 90 minutes/day for 15 days of supervised yoga or supervised walking on: (i) related biochemistry, (ii) anthropometric variables, (iii) body composition, (iv) postural stability, and (v) bilateral hand grip strength in overweight and obese persons. Sixty-eight participants, of whom 5 were overweight (BMI ≥25 kg/m2) and 63 were obese (BMI ≥30 kg/m2; group mean age ±S.D., 36.4±11.2 years; 35 females), were randomized as 2 groups - (i) a yoga group and (ii) a walking group - given the same diet. Dance aerobics is a fun activity that helps in strengthening your body, and gives you energy to carry out your day-today activities effectively and efficiently. The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of aerobic dance training on selected health related fitness variables among obese men. 30 subjects were selected from MIET College Trichy, Tamilnadu. The subject's age were ranged from 18 to 22 years. The selected subjects were divided into 2 groups with 15 subjects in each group one is experimental group and another one is control group. The training periods of the experimental were eight weeks, weekly 5 days with 60 minutes. Control group did not undergo any training programme other than their routine work. The data were collected on health related fitness variables namely body composition, cardio respiratory endurance for each groups before the experimental period(pre-test), after eight weeks of training(post-test) respectively. In order to test the effect of training, the collected data from each groups before, during and after experimentation on health related fitness variables were statistically analyzed by using dependent't' test. In all the cases the level of confidence is fixed at 0.05 to test the significance.
Losing Weight through Regular Exercise among Overweight/Obesity Women Aged 35-45 years

Exercise is a simple and low-cost way to lose weight, but many people have become apprehensive to provide it. This activity aims to shift the community’s lifestyle from sedentary to active by encouraging physical activity through frequent gymnastics. Darussalam housewives gathered near the Universitas Syiah Kuala campus. There were two groups of 20 people: regular participants (n=11) and non-regular participants (n=9). Everyone in the study was between the ages of 30-45. Participants’ body weight (BW), height, and Body Mass Index (BMI) were measured before and after treatment. Participants did 60 minutes of gymnastics modified from Zumba, Aerobic, and Salsa, 3–4 times per week, at 05.00–06.00 p.m, for 12 weeks (3 months), and without any special diet. The prevalence of obesity of adult women in Indonesia has increased recently. Obesity among adult women will lead to health problems such as diabetes until coronary heart disease. The aim of this quasy experimental study was to determine the effectiveness of the 8-week exercise program combining low impact aerobics and yoga on the percentage of body fat in women in 2017. The subjects of this study were 12 Unesa female studentss with criteria to have Body Mass Index (BMI) obese category with age 19-24 years. The effectiveness of the 8-week low-impact exercise program of aerobics and yoga on the percentage of body fat was measured using anthropometric methods with skinfold caliper techniques measured before and after the treatment of training programs. Based on the results of calculations using t test on the percentage of body fat then 8-week exercise program combination of low impact aerobics and yoga effective in reducing body fat with an average percentage decreased of 10.56%.
An Invention of Baton Dance? Exercise Regime on Obesity Diagnosis among Sedentary Adults

The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the effect of a 12-weeks of Baton Dance™ exercise, an invention in the treatment of obesity diagnosis among overweight sedentary adults in higher learning organizations. Baton Dance™ exercise program is a combination of aerobic dance activity, circuit training, and interval training which improvise own body weight during the exercise program. It combines physical training that includes alternating of low and medium intensity which involves a physical conditioning training with medium volume and low resistant with a short rest time. Forty subjects between the ages of 25 to 55 years, have had a diagnosis as sedentary, were overweight and have a fitness score below the mean. Subjects were randomly assigned to a 12-week of either Baton Dance™ as a treatment group or an aerobics dance exercise as the control group. A pre-test-post-test control research design was utilized. Both groups met for 50 minutes, three times a week for a total of 36 sessions. Statistical analysis includes (group x time) paired t-test and independent sample t-test were used to determine between and within group mean differences. Results suggested that subjects in the Baton Dance™ exercise regime intervention experienced positive improvement in obesity diagnosis after 12 weeks of treatment within the group effect p < .05.
2-Weeks programmed aerobics dance reduced body mass index and waist circumference of young women
Background: Body composition is one of the parameters to evaluate the level of physical fitness. Body composition can be assessed by simple tools like body mass index and waist circumference.
