“Prensi Olmayan Masal Kitabı” Adlı Metnin Eyleyenler Modeli Çerçevesinde Değerlendirilmesi (original) (raw)
In this research, we aimed to analyse the children's literature text titled "The Fairytale without a Prince" according to Algirdas Julien Greimas' actantial model. According to Greimas, there are six actants, namely, the subject, the object, the helper, sender and opponent, and these actants constitute an actant model. The story addressed in the research was divided into sections according to temporal, formal, spatial and semantic differences. Consisting essentially of five sections, the story was subject to review with Greimas' actantial model analysis method. The sections in the story were addressed for the princess and Bora separately. Throughout the narrative, general transformations of actant's were tabulated with narrative program. Two narrative programs were established since the story consists of two interwoven narratives. In these narratives, to what extent the stages of manipulation, competence, recognizance and sanction are included in these narratives, and effects of this situation on the narrative were researched. It was determined that, there is an initial state in the story, the story starts with a deficit, and the actant takes action in order to make up this deficit. Positive effects of semiotic reading on text reading are specified in the conclusion chapter of the study.
