The present study intended to assess the relationship between the emotional intelligence and academic achievement of higher secondary school students of Sonepur district of Odisha. The objectives of the present study were to find out the level of emotional intelligence and academic achievement as well as the significant relation between the emotional intelligence and academic achievement. This study was quantitative in nature and descriptive survey method was used. The sample comprised of 100 students, out of them 50 was boys and 50 were girls. The stratified-random sampling method has been adopted. Emotional intelligence scale by Anukool Hyde, Sanjyoth and Upinder Dhar(2002) was used by the investigator for collection of the data. Marks secured in last examination by the students was collected and considered as academic achievement score. Mean, SD, t-test and Pearson product moment correlation method was used as statistical techniques. It is found that significant difference exists in emotional intelligence between boys and girls. There exists significant positive relation between the emotional intelligence and academic achievement of higher secondary students.
The present descriptive correlational study investigates the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement among Iranian students who are studying in Mysore, India. BarOn Emotional Intelligence test was administered to 200 undergraduate and postgraduate students who were selected through purposive sampling technique. Pearson's Product Moment correlation was applied to measure correlation between the first semester GPA (grade point average) as Academic Achievement criterion and emotional intelligence. The result of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between some components of Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement.Abstract. Emotional Intelligence and its Impacts on Academic Achievement of General Degree College Students

Emotional Intelligence is a significant characteristic of any human being which can play a role to improve the academic achievement among students of general degree colleges in North 24 Parganas and Howrah district of West Bengal. The aim of the was to identify the male & female relations respect to emotional intelligence, rural & urban relations respect to emotional intelligence and relationship between emotional intelligence and its impacts on academic achievement. The present study was Normative Survey research. For collect the data researcher used Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) was developed by Shailendra Singh (2004) edited and modified by Roy & Mahato, 2023 from 100 general degree college students West Bengal (North 24 Parganas & Howrah). The 100 sample distributed as 53 male and 47 female, who had been selected purposely. The researcher used Mean & Standard Deviation (S.D.) as Descriptive Statistics, Scatterplot, Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation (r) and Independent ‘t’-test as Inferential Statistics applied to analyze the data. The result showed that, there is significant difference between college students male & female, there is a significant difference between college students in rural & urban areas and the emotional intelligence as independent variables is negatively correlated with academic achievement, which mean EI is not significantly related to academic achievement.

The purpose of education of an individual is not limited to just garnering information but to prepare the individual for life. This includes developing ones social and emotional skills, such as emotional intelligence. Our present study is conducted on a sample of 100 students of the secondary level in the Sundarbans area of West Bengal, a delta acclaimed for its rich bio-diversity. Though a multitude of researches are conducted in this area, researches in the sector of education are very scarce. The scores of emotional intelligence in our study are self-rated. The regression analytic tool was used to analyze the data. An average correlation of 0.76 was found between the dependent and the independent variable. This denotes a strong positive correlation between academic achievement and emotional intelligence in the context of secondary level students in the Sundarbans area. Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement – is there any link: A Study

The aim of the research was to study the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement. On the basis of the marks obtained by the subjects (self – reported) in 12th class, the subjects were divided into three group viz high, middle and low academic achievement group. 90 subjects (30 -30 each in each group) aged 16 to 20 years were selected for the study. Mangal Emotional Intelligence Inventory (MEII) developed by Dr. S. K. Mangal (Rohtak) and Mrs. Shubhra Mangal (NOIDA) was used to collect the data. To test the hypotheses correlation coefficient and one way analysis of variance was calculated. Result showed that there is no significant relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievements. Also there is no significant difference between emotional intelligence and academic achievements. So the study is mainly concerned with analysis of the Emotional Intelligence of students and its relation with academic performance. The objective of the study is to find the level of Emotional Intelligence of the students; to find the difference in EI levels of students with respect to their demographic like: gender, age and residential area and relation of Emotional Intelligence (EI) of students with their academic achievement. Data of 100 students from MDU, rohtak was collected randomly using EI tool developed by Prof. Roquiya Zainuddin and Dr. Anjum Ahmed and then analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Karl pearson's correlation. In analysis, a negative and insignificant relationship is found between EI and Academic achievements. Majority of the students are having average level of EI and EI has no significant relation with age, Gender or residential area.
Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement among Students at the Higher Secondary Level

The present study aims to investigate emotional intelligence and academic achievement of students at the higher secondary level. Using random sampling technique 321 students, from the higher secondary level in different systems of education, namely, state, matriculation and central board schools are chosen. The Emotional Intelligence Scale (Hydes and others, 2002) has been used to assess the emotional intelligence and the marks scored in Science were taken from their half yearly performance. The data collected is subjected to statistical analysis, namely, mean, standard deviation, 't'-test, 'F'-ratio, Karl Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient 'r'. Results show a positive significant correlation between emotional intelligence and academic achievement among the students. Further the students belonging to the central board schools have a higher level of emotional intelligence compared to students in state board but did not differ with students in matriculation board schools at the higher secondary level. Similarly, students belonging to central board schools are found to perform better in academics compared to students in state and matriculation board schools at the higher secondary level.

The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement among Intermediate Students
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the level of Emotional Intelligence and also examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic performance of Intermediate students. The sample of the study consisted of 300 second year Intermediate girl students of Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. To measure the emotional intelligence construct the researcher had employed Dr.S.K.Mangal and Mrs.Shubra Mangal's EI Inventory (2004) scale and academic achievement was tested taking into account the past 3 years and current year aggregated pass percentages. A random sampling technique was adopted in this descriptive survey research. The collected data were analyzed using statistical tools like mean, standard deviation, Coefficient of variation, ANOVA and Correlation. The Results indicated a positive correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement of students. The paper discusses the urgent need to integrate Emotional Intelligence as part of education curriculum.
Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Students’ Academic Performance in Pakistan

The aim of the quantitative correlational study was to investigate the association between students’ academic performance and emotional intelligence. In this study, 700 10th graders from 20 high schools in the district of Lahore were randomly selected. By administering the Bar-On (2002) “Emotional Quotient Inventory Short form,” students’ emotional intelligence was assessed, whereas their academic achievement was determined by their results on the ninth-grade final examinations. Techniques for inferential statistical data analysis were used, including Pearson r, the independent sample t-test, and linear regression.According to the study's findings, academic achievement and emotional intelligence are favorably associated. Academic achievement and emotional intelligence mean scores varied across male and female professors.
