The Impact of Knowledge Management towards Employee’s Job Satisfaction

Knowledge management (KM) has been often claimed to be an important ingredient in building competitive advantage in an organization. Based on the previous studies KM adoption in Malaysia is relatively slow. Most organizations in Malaysia are unsure if the promised performance improvement through the implementation of KM practices is just passing a trend. Therefore, this paper aims to meet this need by developing conceptual framework. The conceptual framework for this study is outlined by the process of adapts and adopts from the past research studies. The KM practices that will be discussed in this paper are knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge creation and knowledge retention. It outlines the conceptual framework for this study and find out the factors that will impact the job satisfaction in organization. The conceptual framework section will explained the detailed of the conceptual framework used in this study which consists of four independent variables such as knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge creation and knowledge retention and one dependent variable is job satisfaction. Besides, the review will also cover on the impact of knowledge management practices on employee's job satisfaction. The paper ends with recommendations on further research should be carried out in order to enhance the understanding of the concepts and the effect of KM towards employee's job satisfaction.

Knowledge management is a tool that includes human, processes and technology for managing information and knowledge resources in an organization. With its variety of benefits, job satisfaction appears within the knowledge management process in industries. This paper reviews the relationship of knowledge management with job satisfaction concentrate on healthcare in Malaysia. Numerous organizations such as business, banking, telecommunications as well healthcare which is focus on had knowledge management relevance. Using the scoping review technique, a number of scholarly articles on knowledge management related subjects and job satisfaction in different industries have been gathered and reviewed. The majority analysis of the retrieved articles found that knowledge management positively correlate with job satisfaction. It is also identified that knowledge management are crucial in every industry that being discussed.

Purpose This paper aims to propose that knowledge management (KM) could be a way to nurture job satisfaction and examine how KM can increase individual employees’ job satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach A theoretical model concerning the connections between five facets of KM (knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge creation, knowledge codification and knowledge retention) and job satisfaction is proposed. It is then empirically tested with a structural equation modelling partial least squares analysis of a survey data set of 824 observations, collected from the members of a Finnish municipal organisation. Knowledge management (KM) is considered as a vital component in constructing a viable advantage in a corporation. According to the earlier studies, Knowledge Management implementation in Ghana is comparatively overlooked. Most societies in Ghana remain uncertain whether the assured routine enhancement through the execution of Knowledge Management practices is simply experiencing declination. Hence, the paper targets to satisfy this necessity by evolving the theoretical structure. The theoretical structure within the research is written by the method of adapts and adopts from the earlier studies. The Knowledge Management practices which will be deliberated during this research work are the creation of knowledge and retention of knowledge, acquisition of knowledge, and sharing of knowledge. It layouts the theoretical structure for the study and know the factors which will impact task satisfaction in an organization. Impact of Knowledge Management on Employee Work Performance: Evidence from Saudi Arabia

Knowledge Management (KM) has become critical in today's highly competitive, uncertain, and rapidly changing business environment. The objective of this study is to measure the effects of knowledge management processes (knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge creation and knowledge retention) and knowledge management approaches (social networks, codification and personalization) on job satisfaction and examines how they increase employees' work performance. A theoretical model based on KM processes and approaches is proposed. It is empirically tested with structural equation modeling (SEM) and partial least squares (PLS) of survey data collected from employees of the King Fahd National Library in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The analysis showed that there is a significant and positive impact of KM processes and approaches on job satisfaction and work performance. Knowledge sharing, knowledge retention, codification and personalization approaches have significant impacts on job satisfaction, and knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation and a social network approach have no significant impacts on job satisfaction. Managers are advised to implement KM activities in their organizations to improve knowledge worker performance and the welfare of employees at work. This is the first study that theoretically examines the effect of knowledge management processes and knowledge management approaches on 'soft' human issues such as the job satisfaction and work performance of individual employees in an academic library.

Investigating Knowledge Management Enablers Affecting Job Satisfaction in Middle East & North Africa

Data was collected through online self-administered questionnaire from 251 respondents representing professional managers and employees working in several industries/business sectors.

The Influence of Knowledge Management on Satisfaction and Job Performance: A case study of Lecturers at Vietnam National University, Hanoi

This scientific article aims to examine the relationship of knowledge management, satisfaction and task performance of lecturers of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. In this study, the authors have used the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) tool and based on the analysis of survey sample for 200 lecturers working at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The research results show that: Knowledge management has a positive impact on job satisfaction and performance; Satisfaction of lecturers plays the role of a partial mediator between knowledge management and job performance. From the research results of the article, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has clearly understood the relationship between knowledge management, satisfaction and assigned job performance, thereby being possible to develop plans and strategies to improve the performance of organization.

The influence of knowledge management on lecturer performance through job satisfaction

This study aims to analyze the effect of knowledge management on job satisfaction, analyze the effect of knowledge management on lecturer performance, analyze the effect of job satisfaction on lecturer performance, and analyze the effect of knowledge management on lecturer performance through job satisfaction. The number of samples in this study were 55 respondents. The analysis technique uses path analysis. The results of the analysis show that knowledge management had a significant effect on job satisfaction. Knowledge management had a significant effect on lecturer performance. Job satisfaction had a significant effect on lecturer performance. Knowledge management had a significant effect on lecturer performance through job satisfaction.
