Abstract
Abstract This paper deals with the surface integrity of machined AA6351 Aluminium metal Matrix using end Turning process. Investigations on surface quality of machined Aluminium metal Matrix were carried out at different levels of cutting conditions. Dry high-speed Turning process tests the input parameters chosen at different cutting speeds, feed rates and depths of cut, tool nose radius in order to investigate the effect of the various cutting parameters on the surface roughness of Turning process using HSS Tool steels. The response surface methodology was composed of an experimental design to find an approximate model between the input and output variables, a statistical modeling, and the optimization of responses by Central Composite Design (CCD). In this work, AA6351 alloy steel work piece machined by CNC machine centre is evaluated according to Response Surface Methodology with an objective function of obtaining good surface finish using single tool operations and optimization methods for finding the values of the process variables that produce desirable values of the response.
