Following a concise description of the well-known Five Factor psychological model and an explanation relating to why this model is important and useful for projects that aim at evaluating human personalities, the authors have described several relationships between this model’s factors and: a). performance (both generic and specific performance types), and b). other relevant psychological dimensions. The following sections include a presentation of the premises and of the motivation supporting our independent construction of a personality-evaluation measure (i.e., the Big Five ), while also describing its design strategy and actual validation. The first stage of this empirical study (applied on a 302-subject panel-lot) led to the conclusion that the analyzed data distribution does not significantly differ from a normal distribution.
