On the Asymptotic Stability of Some Particular Differential Equations
International Journal of Applied Physics and Mathematics, 2015
The importance of differential equations in scientific world is a crystal-clear fact. Many problems in physics, ecology, biology, engineering etc. can be modeled by ordinary differential equations and very few of them can be solved in terms of elementary functions. However, it is possible to reveal the main features of the solutions by the help of qualitative methods. In this study, we try to show that the conditions for some nonlinear equations to be asymptotically stable.
A Note on the Asymptotic Stability

In this paper, we stude the influence of the perturbing term in equation x' = f(t, x) + g(t, x), on the asymptotically behavior of x' = f(t, x).

On the Global Uniform Asymptotic Stability of Time-Varying Systems
Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, 2014
This work is motivated by problem of practical stability of nonlinear time-varying system˙ () = (, ()) (0) = 0 where ∈ ℝ + , ∈ ℝ and : ℝ + ×ℝ −→ ℝ is continuous in and locally Lipschitz in. We give some sufficient conditions to guarantee practical uniform asymptotic stability in terms of convergence of solutions toward a neighborhood of the origin. An invariance principle is given when the origin is not an equilibrium point. The main result of this paper is illustrated by an example in three dimensional.
Global Stability and Boundedness in
Journal of Difference Equations and Applications, 2004
Dedicated to Saber Elaydi on the Occasion of His 60th Birthday. For the equation in the title, we present conditions on the function/that are sufficient for the boundedness of all solutions, conditions that imply oscillation of all solutions and also conditions that imply the global asymptotic stability of the unique fixed point. In the latter case, we also specify conditions under which convergence to the equilibrium is monotonic.

The present paper deals with the following system:\begin{align*}x^{\prime}&=-e(t)x+f(t)\phi_{p^*}(y),\\y^{\prime}&=-(p-1)g(t)\phi_p(x)-(p-1)h(t)y,\end{align*}wherepandp*are positive numbers satisfying 1/p+ 1/p*= 1, andϕq(z) = |z|q−2zforq=porq=p*. This system is referred to as a half-linear system. We herein establish conditions on time-varying coefficientse(t),f(t),g(t) andh(t) for the zero solution to be uniformly globally asymptotically stable. If (e(t),f(t)) ≡ (h(t),g(t)), then the half-linear system is integrable. We consider two cases: the integrable case (e(t),f(t)) ≡ (h(t),g(t)) and the non-integrable case (e(t),f(t)) ≢ (h(t),g(t)). Finally, some simple examples are presented to illustrate our results.
A simple test for asymptotic stability in some dynamical systems
Revista De Ciencias, 2015
In this paper we analyze asymptotic stability of the dynamical systemẋ = f (x) defined by a C 1 function f : D → R n where D ∈ R n + is an open set. We obtain a criterion of stability for the equilibrium solutionx ∈ D when the vector field f satisfies a) ∂ i f i (x) < 0 and b) (∂ i f i (x)) −1 ∂ i f j (x) + (∂ j f j (x)) −1 ∂ j f i (x) > 2 for i, j = 1,. .. , n.

We prove a generalized Liapunov theorem which guarantees practical asymptotic stability. Based on this theorem, we show that if the averaged system x = f a v ( x ) corresponding to 2 = f(z, t ) is globally asymptotically stable then, starting from an arbitrarily large set of initial conditions, the trajectories of x = f ( 2 , tic) converge uniformly to an arbitrarily small residual set around the origin when > 0 is taken sufficiently small.
