Abstract

Abstract The influence of doping the single mode fiber cladding and core with germanium (Ge) and phosphorus (P) on the optical properties of fiber had been investigated in this work. This is done using the Finite Elements Method through the COMSOL Multiphysics simulation program. This study will be very helpful for designing optical fiber radiation sensors (Dosimeters) to investigate the influence of different -doping on the fiber sensitivity under different radiations like X-ray, pulsed X-ray, and Gamma-ray.
