Entrepreneurial Potential Among Undergraduate Physiotherapy Students of Lahore

Objective: To determine the entrepreneurial potential among undergraduate physiotherapy students of Lahore. Study Design: Cross-sectional survey Setting: 10 medical institutes of Lahore. Participants: 309 physiotherapy students. Main outcome measures: Entrepreneurial potential among physiotherapy students and comparison of entrepreneurial potential between men and women.(measured by scoring of Entrepreneurial Potential Assessment Exam). Data was taken from 10 different medical institutes of Lahore.. Results: 309 participants from different universities of Lahore participated. Out of which, 29.5% were males and 70.5% were females. Males has more entrepreneurial potential as compared to females.Out of 309 participants, 3.2% has greater entrepreneurial potential, 47.9% students falls intermediate zone ,43% students has weak entrepreneurial potential, 3.9% students lack entrepreneurial potential. Students of mean average 21 years of age have more entrepreneurial potential. Conclusion:It is concluded that men have more entrepreneurial potential as compared to females but overall undergraduates of physiotherapy have only 3.2% very high entrepreneurial potential and majority of student fall in intermediate zone of entrepreneurial potential.

Element of entrepreneurship had an important role in ensuring the social welfare and in regional development in the 21st century. In this sense, universities undertaking the mission of educating future"s entrepreneurs bear tremendous responsibility. It is obligatory to determine the university students" tendency of entrepreneurship, and to guide correctly those having entrepreneurship characteristics and bring them in to the business life. In this study, it is aimed to determine entrepreneurship profiles of students receiving education in different faculties/ departments; and to compare certain demographical characteristics of students educated in School of Physical Education and Sports (S.P.E.S.) with the characteristics of students participated in the research and receiving education in other faculties. Also the effects of total time of doing sports and status and period of registered sporting on the entrepreneurship profiles of participants were examined. Research was made practically on 479 students receiving education in "Faculties of Education, Economic and Administrative Sciences, and School of Physical Education and Sports" who were elected by means of random sampling method. 247 female and 232 male students participated in the research. At the end of the study, it is determined that infrastructure of entrepreneurship of the university students is at a satisfactory level, and that entrepreneurship level did not differ according to the variables of gender and age. It is found that students with a monthly income ≤ 500 TL have a lower entrepreneurship level in comparison to the other income groups, and students who are doing sports and have a social-extravert and active psychological structure have a higher entrepreneurship level. Also, it is established that students of school of physical education and sports have the highest entrepreneurship level according to the variable of faculty and department.

The highest unemployment rate (TPT) in Indonesia is from graduated of Vocational High School (SMK), which is 9.27%. This phenomenon cannot be separated from the low interest of entrepreneurship. SMK graduates are expected to be able to work directly and can open employment area; the fact is far different from expectations. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect student entrepreneurship interest in SMK. The population of this study was 1845 students of class XII SMK Negeri in Pekanbaru City. The sampling method used in this research was Simple Random Sampling so that it obtained 329 students. The data collection used questionnaire with Likert scale that is suitable for exogenous variable (entrepreneurship interest), endogen variable (entrepreneurship education and family environment), and intervening variable (personality). The data analysis technique employed the path analysis method. The results of the analysis show that entrepreneurship education, and family environment have positive and significant influence on entrepreneurship interest through the personality. This shows that interest in entrepreneurship can be enhanced if the quality of entrepreneurship education, family environment and student personality are improved.

Interest in opening a new business after completing lectures at the State University of Medan is still a concern. This shows that the students' low interest in entrepreneurship. An entrepreneurial ecosystem can be formed because students come from various disciplines who are possible to have a meeting of demand and supply to become young entrepreneurs in the future. This study focuses on developing a model of variables related to entrepreneurial interest by using each item to explain the actual situation experienced by Medan State University students. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey research methods. The sample in this study were Unimed students using a questionnaire. The questionnaire used to collect data is an electronic questionnaire. The questionnaire was filled in by contacting the respondents via cellular telephone as many as 275 respondents. The results show that the seven question items as a whole still have not answered the needs of students in creating and developing entrepreneurial learning practices in initiating students to have entrepreneurial abilities independently. The results show that the self-confidence variable has a statement item that has the highest response, which is that I am more confident to start a business after taking entrepreneurship courses and the lowest response is that I start a new business seriously after taking entrepreneurship courses. Then, the task orientation and outcome variables have statement items that get the highest response, namely I am interested in taking entrepreneurship courses and the lowest response is that I am able to manage a business after taking entrepreneurship courses. Furthermore, the business risk variable has a statement item that has the highest response, namely I have learned to face risks in business after taking entrepreneurship courses and the statement that has the lowest response is I dare to take risks starting a business after taking entrepreneurship courses. Finally, on the future orientation variable, the statement item that has the highest response is Through entrepreneurship courses, from the University, my skills, knowledge, and interest in entrepreneurship have increased and the statement that has the lowest response is I have successfully identified future business opportunities. future after taking entrepreneurship courses.
Generally, entrepreneurship is seen as a catalyst for economic development. With the industrial revolution on top of the fast growing creative and innovative sectors, entrepreneurship is able meet the country's economic demands. Based on the studies widely carried out since decades ago, numerous internal or external factors can be associated with the behaviour of entrepreneurial inclination. The purpose of this study is to identify the connection between motivation, financial support as well as family support and the entrepreneurial inclination among students from Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Polytechnic, Perlis. A total of 181 out of 352 students from Tourism & Hospitality Department and Commerce Department were selected as the samples in the study. Apart from the motivation and support factors, skills and knowledge gained by the students were equally imperative in order to measure their keenness in becoming entrepreneurs. Subsequently, 162 questionnaires were returned to the researcher. The quantitative data gathered were analyzed using the " statistical package for social science (spss) version 22 " .

A Survey of Entrepreneurial Tendencies Candidate Young Entrepreneurs: Foundation University Sample
The survey has been conducted amongst students studying in the field of Economics and Administrative Sciences at a foundation university. The purpose of the survey is to show the entrepreneurial tendencies and entrepreneurship levels of the university students who are young entrepreneur candidates. The aim is also to test the validity and reliability of the entrepreneurship scale developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2008) and examines the structure of factors. At the end of the survey, it was determined that the scale was valid and reliable. Furthermore, contrary to the previous surveys conducted for the students in state universities, it was seen that the students of foundation universities had higher levels of entrepreneurial tendencies.

The purpose of this research paper is to explore the entrepreneurship profile of students of University of Kelaniya and to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial inclination and entrepreneurial traits. In this study, six traits were identified according to the past literature. Both primary and secondary data were used in this study. Data were collected from 240 undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya by using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Mainly quantitative approach was used to analyze the data. Apart from the descriptive statistical technique inferential statistical tools were applied to identify the relationship between variables. The results revealed that need for achievement, locus of control, risk taking propensity, self-confidence, and innovativeness are positively affect on entrepreneurial intention. Namely, need for achievement, locus of control, risk taking propensity, tolerance of ambiguity self-confidence and innovativeness. And it was tested that, how this relationship varies with moderator variable, namely, gender. Both primary and secondary data was used in the study. Data were collected from 240 undergraduates at the University of Kelaniya. Mainly mixed method approach was used to analyse data. The results revealed that need for achievement, locus of control, risk taking propensity, self-confidence, and innovativeness positively affect entrepreneurial intention. But, tolerance of ambiguity did not positively affect entrepreneurial inclination. At the same time, they show that, the relationship between inclination and traits weaken by gender. These findings were supported by qualitative study also. This study was provided insight into entrepreneurship education, as to which entrepreneurial characteristics can be developed to raise good entrepreneurs. Educational systems need to be oriented to emphasize and value entrepreneurship in order to promote an enterprise culture. Methods to teach entrepreneurship should also be explored further. This study will help to fill the gap in the existing body of knowledge and provide new knowledge in to the Sri Lankan context.
