MONOGENEAN TREMATODS- PARASITES OF SOME CYPRINID FISHES FROM LAKES OHRID AND PRESPA (MACEDONIA
(Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa), 7 monogenean species were found: in Chondrostoma nasus we found: Dactylogyrus elegantis, D. vistulae and Paradiplozoon homoion homoion, in Alburnus alburnus we found Dactylogyrus alatus f. typica, Dactylogyrus minor, Diplozoon paradoxum and Paradiplozoon alburni, in Alburnoides bipunctatus we found Dactylogyrus alatus f. typica and Paradiplozoon alburni. Prevalence in Chondrostoma nasus ohridanus is 50,0%, in Chondrostoma nasus prespensis is 41,59% (in total Chondrostoma nasus -41,88%), in Alburnus alburnus ohridanus is 47,75%, in Alburnus alburnus prespensis is 41,38% % (in total Alburnus alburnus -44,95%), in Alburnoides bipunctatus ohridanus is 35,14%), in Alburnoides bipunctatus prespensis is 11,54% (in total Alburnoides bipunctatus -29,0%). The most frequent monogeneans found in the fishes from both lakes are: Dactylogyrus alatus f. typica (established in 17,62% of all examined fishes) and Dactylogyrus minor (established in 16,31% of all fishes). Dactylogyrus alatus f. typica, D. minor, Diplozoon paradoxum and Paradiplozoon alburni represents a first record for the parasite fauna of fishes in Macedonia. The greatest pathological influence is associated with the monogeneans: Dactylogyrus vistulae, Paradiplozoon homoion homoion, Paradiplozoon alburn and Diplozoon paradoxum.
Fauna of monogenean trematodes-parasites of some cyprinid fishes from lake Prespa, Macedonia

During parasitological investigations six species of monogenean trematodes were found on the gills of three cyprinid fish species from Lake Prespa (Macedonia), as follows: Dactylogyrus prostae and Dactylogyrus sphyrna in Leuciscus cephalus albus, Dactylogyrus erhardovae, Dactylogyrus sphyrna and Paradiplozoon zeller in Rutilus rubilio prespensis and Dactylogyrus elegantis and Dactylogyrus vistulae in Chondrostoma nasus prespensis. The prevalence in Leuciscus cephalus albus was 62.22%, in Rutilus rubilio prespensis 59.87%, while in Chondrostoma nasus prespensis it was the lowest and amounted to 41.59%. The overall, prevalence of monogeneans in the investigated cyprinid fishes from Lake Prespa was 53.65%, and the mean intensity of infestation was 6.08. Among the monogenean species the highest prevalence occurred with Dactylogyrus sphyrna (25.08%), and the greatest intensity of infestation was evident in the cases of infestation with Dactylogyrus erhardovae (12.87). The greatest pathological effect was associated with the monogeneans Dactylogyrus vistulae and Paradiplozoon zeller. All monogenean species found represented the first record for such parasite fauna of fishes in Macedonia.

Parasitological examination from the Macedonian part of the Lake Ohrid showed that of 191 specimens of eel (Anguilla anguilla Linnaeus, 1758) 98 fishes (51.31%) were infested with gill monogeneans. In our case study the presence of 2 dactylogyrid species was found: Pseudodactylogyrus anguillae (Yin & Sproston, 1948) and Pseudodactylogyrus bini (Kikuchi, 1929). Both species are rather pathogenic to their hosts and can cause mortality of heavily infected eels in ell farms in both Asia and Europe. Pseudodactylogyrus species have hitherto been reported from eels in Central and North European countries. This is the first record of Pseudodactylogyrus anguillae and Pseudodactylogyrus bini for the fishes from Macedonia.

UDK: 597:576.89(497.6) (282.249) The prevalence and intensity of trematodes ectoparasites in freshwater fish are presented in this paper. Parasitology researches were conducted during 2017 in the middle course of the river Sava near Orašje. All results from this study were tested with the use of nonparametric tests (χ2, Kruskal-Wallis test and Spearman test of corellation) in the statistical package STATISTICA 7. The total of 400 sampled specimens of different fish species were parasitologically tested. The trematodes from the class Monogenea (Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus and Eudiplozoon nipponicum) and Digenea (Posthodiplostomum cuticola) were found on the skin and the gills of the fish. The genus Dactylogyrus was found on 27 specimens, or 6.75%. Intensity of the infection for the genus Dactylogyrus did not show any significant deviations during different seasons. Helminthofauna of Ohrid gudgeon (Gobio ohridanus Karaman, 1924) from the Lake Ohrid, Macedonia

Total, 94 specimens of gudgeon (Gobio ohridanus Karaman, 1924) from the Macedonian part of the Lake Ohrid were examined and 61 fishes (64.89%) were infected with parasites. The presence of 4 parasite species was established: Dactylogyrus cryptomeres f. typica (Monogenea), Cystidicoloides tenuissima and Philometra ovata (Nematoda), and Pomphorhynchus laevis (Acanthocephala). The highest prevalence and intensity of infection was with Dactylogyrus cryptomeres f. typica (59.57%; mean intensity 6.07). The lowest one was with Cystidicoloides tenuissima and Philometra ovata (2.13%; 1.0). Dactylogyrus cryptomeres f. typica is recorded for the first time in the ichthyoparasitofauna of Lake Ohrid and Macedonia. KEY WORDS: parasite fauna, gudgeon, Lake Ohrid, Macedonia.
Trematode fauna patterns of the freshwater fish on the border of the geographical range

The trematode fauna of the fishes inhabiting Lake Ladoga are represented by forty-six species; nine species of which are found here on the northern boudary of their geographic range. The depauperization of the trematode fauna compared to the southern pools is a result both of the decreasing impact of the Pont-Caspian group and of the introduction of the boreal piedmont species complex. The increase in the biological productivity of Lake Ladoga for the last 50-year period leads to enrichment of the species biodiversity. The same process increases the invasion extensiveness by trematodes, which use fish as an intermediate host. The Diplostomida, the presence of which is crucial for the young fish survival rate, dominate among the trematodes.
Review of freshwater fish parasitofauna of Bosnia and Herzegovina

This paper contains results from ichthyofaunal research of freshwater fish in Bosnia and Herzegovina during 20th and at the beginning of twenty-first century. We found presence of more than 100 parasitic species from different groups in 52 freshwater fish species from Black Sea and Adriatic basins and some breeding ponds. Detected parasites belong to Trematoda-25 species, Monogenea-15, Cestoda-16, Nematoda-15, Acanthocephala-11, Oligohymenophorea-5, Phyllopharyngea-3, and Copepoda-2 species. Other detected parasite groups are Kinetoplastea, Trepomonadea, Myxosporea, Myxoza, Ichthyostraca, Clitellata and Bivalvia with one species each. This study shows the necessity of research of complete parasitic fauna of freshwater fish in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Systematic characteristics of chub L. cephalus are given by an analysis of eight meristic (on 550 specimen) and 23 plastic characteristics (on 588 specimen), of both genders including the non-mature examples from the river of Babuna, right tributary stream of the Vardar river (Aegean sea river-basin). The measurements were carried out according to the Pravdina scheme. The results were compared with the data of former researches of the material from the same river basin, the main river of Vardar or its major tributary streams, as well as on different materials belonging to various populations living in various biotops: small brooks, big lowlands rivers; in still biotops of both types, oligotrophic and eutrophic lakes; and finally in accumulation lakes.
