Post COVID-19 and online Education in India
In India, the COVID-19 outbreak has been declared an epidemic in all its states and union territories. To combat COVID-19, lockdown was imposed on March 25, 2020 which has adversely affected the education system in the country. COVID-19 has brought about changes to the education system that impact teachers in different ways. The compounded by the fact that students from economically weaker sections of society have become hard to reach, and teachers do not know how to support hard-to-reach students who are also severely affected by the pandemic both urban rural areas. It has changed the traditional education system to the educational techno based model, where teaching and assessments are conducted online. This paper aims to identify the changes in teaching and assessment in different home environment settings in India.

Online Education during COVID-19 and Future Concerns: Indian Perspective

An alarming event in human lives recently has been the sudden breakout of the novel corona-virus pandemic. This pandemic has made us feel that in-campus teaching can't work in the current situation. The big shift, a shift in the use of technology which we have seen in teaching in recent times has become the trend. Thus schools have been converted into the digital space. Consequently, teachers started using different virtual platforms, social media and online meeting platforms without proper training, and institutional support. During the epidemic, education is going through different problems and unprecedented concerns. Multiple positive or negative impacts can be seen due to lockdowns which forced us to think about how we can strengthen the education system. This pandemic also exposed how we were under prepared to deal with such an emerging crisis in education. This paper highlighted the trends that emerged during the pandemic and the impact of Covid-19 on education. Also, various concerns related to online education are illustrated and suggestions for government, stakeholders, and teachers are also given.

At present, an innumerable number of deaths are often common due to COVID 19 pandemic. Many of us are going through mental despair and physical illness during this mischievous circumstance. The impact of the pandemic is observed in every sector around the world. The education sector of India is not beyond this. Around 32 crore learners stopped to moved schools and colleges in India (Jena, 2020). The outbreak of this disease taught us that change is unavoidable. It has worked as a catalyst for the educational institutions to grow and forced them to choose technical platforms which have not been used to earlier. The education sector is fighting to survive for its existence, and the Government of India and state governments are trying different approaches to eradicate the pandemic threat (Singh et al., 2021). This paper highlights the impact of Covid-19 on the Indian education system and elaborates significant measures taken by the Government of India to carry on the education system effectively at the secondary level during this pandemic. Various research papers concerning the same thing have been presumed to expose the solemnity of this situation, which is regulating the entire world.

The outbreak of Covid-19 had carried a new challenge to the field of Education that was being unexpected. As a result, we had to move from conventional education system to online learning (technology based) education system using different online platforms. Although most of the advanced educational institutions in India are not well equipped with digital facilities yet to cope with the sudden changes from traditional system to digitalized system, they are more hopeful to continue their educational activities through online. In the review of literature section, we have summarized the learning from various reviews of literature relating to our subject. The COVID-19 pandemic brought drastic changes in lives across the globe. Be it work, family, lifestyle, or education, not a single aspect was left untouched by its effect. The complete inclusion of the internet in education has always remained a topic of discussion among experts and digital education was perceived as the future of the education sector. But, the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 resulted in an indefinite lockdown and brought a halt in our lives. The educational institutions were shut down in India and the whole education system relied upon internet technology. The objective of this paper is to explore the method adopted by education institutions to continue classes through the online mode and the challenges faced by both the teachers and students in adapting to the new face of education amid the lockdown. The study presented in this paper is descriptive and analytic in nature and to achieve the objective of this paper, the data has been collected from secondary sources like blogs, news articles, and journals. The findings have revealed that, though various initiatives have been taken, still there is a need to work on several factors to enhance the learning and teaching experience of the students and teachers respectively.

Education is one sector which has been tremendously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper probes into the effect of this pandemic on education and analyses the various alternatives which are being used to aid the learning process. The requirement of every student differs from the other. Therefore, age is used as a parameter to categorize students and understand the student needs through analysis of these categories. Also, several initiatives launched by the government are analyzed, which go unnoticed due to lack of awareness. The virtual way of learning also brings with it several problems which are discussed. The importance of online learning is underscored with future prospects.

A new situation in the form of Global pandemic COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) has appeared in the foreground. Globally, societies are acclimatizing to this new reality with social, cultural, economic, and educational implications. Most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. To mitigate the impact of these closures, educational institutes around the world including in India are adopting ICT tools for digital learning and making educators & students mindful of the various digital/e-learning platforms. This research paper aims at studying the scenario in India for use of ICT tools in teaching and learning processes during the global pandemic. The study has been done with both educators and learners to ascertain the true scenario of the use of ICT tools and the effectiveness of the same on the education system. The major aim of this study is to find out factors affecting the use of ICT in education and to provide for future research in the same direction. The study also aims at finding the awareness of ICT tools among the trainers/ educators and students/learners. It was found out that due to pandemic and subsequent lockdown, students and teachers have to use these tools to avoid any kind of loss in the teaching-learning progress. Video Conferencing Platform "Zoom" is the most used application during this pandemic and is mostly used by students in their teens (Age range?). The study has given leads to further investigation on ICT usage in the Indian scenario. Today technology is considered the reason for economic growth. It makes our life easier by adding ease to the process of achieving myriad goals. Information and communication technology (ICT) is the word, which has become very popular in every aspect of work whether it's personal, professional, or any category, also the usage is not new to academics. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, more often than not, educators/students turned to digital means to search and prepare information materials/ research assignments and not as educational resources to be exploited in the classroom. Now, most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. These nationwide closures are affecting over 60% of the world's student population. Several other countries have implemented localized closures affecting millions of additional learners. In mid-April 2020, around 194 countries had fully closed their educational institute as a response to spread the curb of COVID-19. By Mid-July 109, countrywide closures are still in place with more than 1 billion learners affected. (UNESCO, n.d.). The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected and changed businesses, healthcare, travel, shopping, learning, etc. Pandemic has influenced teaching and learning process as people are confined in their home but because of technology despite not going to school, colleges, universities the educational learning has not come to a halt. Individuals and Organizations have started using technology to fill in the gap in the learning process created by the ongoing crisis. Hence, online learning has increased tremendously during the pandemic. Various distance-learning programs already use ICT across the world and online exams in different domains are employed for many decades now (Raja & Nagasubramani, 2018). The concept of a deeply entrenched ICT tool in the teaching-learning process is not unheard of in western countries or advanced countries but it was not at all widely used in India, despite the resources and support systems are available. Problems and Challanges in Online Education during COVID 19 Pandemic in India

This article studies the challenges and effectiveness of online education in India during COVID-19 pandemic. The responses of 200 students and 42 teachers have been analysed to understand their problems and challenges and to make the online education more effective. A substantial number of respondents found online teaching/learning tiring. Many complained about poor internet connectivity and lack of training and gave some useful suggestions to improve the quality of online classes. This work highlights the need of better technical and pedagogical training and psychological grooming of teachers and students in India.
