Abstract

EnglishThe main objective of this paper is to present recent cosmopolitan attitudes which can contribute to the expansion of research related to language, culture and society. This is lhe result of a postdoctoral research dealing with strategies meant to enhance the participarion of groups considered peripheral by the colonizer 's eyes. The research method is bibliographic. The conclusion reveals contextualized cosmopolitan possibilities that can shorten the distance between epistemologies from the South and me North through an ethical relation between the Self and the Other, through deconstruction, hybridism and transcultural translation. portuguesO objetivo central deste trabalho e apresentar atitudes cosmopolitas recentes que podem contribuir para a ampliacao de pesquisas que entrelacem Iingua, cultura e sociedade.
