Marchas y contramarchas en la atención de la violencia contra las mujeres en las instituciones de salud mexicanas (original) (raw)

This article presents a critical reflection on some of the obstacles that persist in Mexico to face the violence problem against women, from the point of view of health institutions, starting from the research developed in the last ten years with diverse actors that intervene in this response, as well as with women living this problem in Mexico. It is put forward that in spite of the efforts carried out by institutions, with the support or the pressure of organizations and social movements, the results are far from being the expected ones, a product of a complex framework of factors ranging from deficiencies of the public apparatus, passing through the organizational problems to level of services, up to the obstacles of cultural and ideological type in the same agents that carry out concrete actions.
