Women Entrepreneurship: " Problem faced by rural women entrepreneurs in Sindh province of Pakistan "

Rural women comprise more than one quarter of the total world population and world over they are an integral and vital force in the development processes that are the main factors to socio economic progress. There have been a number of serious obstacles; some of them are social constraints, managerial constraints, production constraints and marketing constraints and difficulties arises both from within and outside differ from enterprise to enterprise. This study was carried out in Sindh province of Pakistan. For the purpose of this study 3 district were selected out of the existing 28 districts, five villages were later selected from the each district through a multistage sampling techniques. Five women entrepreneurs were selected from each village. Thus making a sample of 375 women was randomly selected for the study. A well structured interview schedule was used to collect information from the women entrepreneurs on their personal and socioeconomic characteristics and problem faced by them in entrepreneurship at field level. Statistical techniques like mean scores and percentages were used to analyze the data. Majority of 37.53% of the respondents were within 36-45 years of age. Majority of respondents were single (36%) among these were married (25%) and those who were divorced (17%), while 16% were Widow. 47% women's entrepreneurs have 6-10 family members, while 40.84% were 1-5 household size. Majority of the respondents had primary education (44%), while only 22.51% had no formal education. Forty four percent (44.16%) of the respondents had >5 years of entrepreneur experience, 40.83% had 6-10 years. Majority (28%) expressed that lack of family cooperation is causing a problem. However 25.33% of respondents show that lack of reorganization of women's work in the society as a social problem. Almost 40% of the respondents faced lack of credit facilities, while 34.67% of the respondents perceived that complex loaning procedure is a major problem to manage the business. About 32% respondents perceived that inaccessibility of place of work, while 28% respondents perceived as a lack of marketing facility was a major problem. It was recommended that the need for providing family cooperation and women's involved in entrepreneurs may be recognized in all stage to promote entrepreneurship at field level. Adequate training must be given to the women entrepreneurship at field level and guidance at all stages can be effective ways to cope the problems of women entrepreneurs that hinders in entrepreneurship The major problems of micro credit, complex loan procedure, lack of marketing, transport facilities needs to be improve for the successful enterprise development in the province and an appropriate marketing facilities and micro credits through public private organizations may be extended to the rural women for their successful business

Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurship through Training and Development Programmes – A Pragmatic Study between Institutes

In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt " A woman is like a tea bag-you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water " , emphasising on the quote indicates that there has been a phenomenal attention paid to the subject of women empowerment and women entrepreneurship training over the past few years, stemming primarily from the findings by economic analysts that small firms contribute considerably immense to economic development. In the words of Peter Drucker, " Entrepreneurship is neither a science nor an art. It is a Practice ". Indian women of today have taken many paces towards entrepreneurship. The present world is changing at an amazing velocity. Women are an economic force to be reckoned with. All the available information on earlier studies and the findings of various researches undertaken on different aspects of the problem under study familiarized the researcher with knowledge pertaining to entrepreneurship. The Objective of the study is to conduct a comparative study of Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) and Multi Disciplinary Training Centre (MDTC) that imparts Entrepreneurship Training and Development Programs for women in Karnataka, and its impact on them. After selecting the problem of the research and anticipating certain relationship between criteria variables, direct or inverse, the research is carried out with some hypothesis formulation and testing. Once the objectives are defined and hypothesis is framed, the research design is developed which is a blueprint for fulfilling the objectives and answering questions. Survey method is adopted for the research. The respondents will be interviewed with comprehensive questionnaire and responses and the feedback will be used for testing hypothesis. A Descriptive study is employed as fact-finding investigation with acceptable interpretation to narrow down the research topic and to have better understanding of the same. Both primary and secondary data is considered and the survey is done through administering the questionnaire to the potential and existing women entrepreneurs who will be trained and developed at these institutes in Bangalore. Cluster random sampling methodology was adopted to select sample out of the Women Entrepreneurship Training Centres in Karnataka. 2 units were taken judiciously and 100 samples are selected from each institute representing 50 potential and 50 existing women entrepreneurs. Closed ended questionnaire was employed and the responses to the questions were scaled for the further analysis and interpretation to achieve reliability and validity through effective selection of sampling design. Motivational factors, entrepreneurship and education: Study with reference to women in SMEs.

For the past couple of years entrepreneurship development is considered as the priority area in the development policy in many countries, especially in India. The young entrepreneurs are engaged in varied form of small and medium scale enterprises ranging from paper to electronics, engineering to electrical, textile to metal and pipe industry, construction to food processing, education to handicrafts. The interesting fact is that the entrepreneurial ventures are making provision of more business options not only for men, but also for women, especially in rural and semi urban areas. Considering this trend, a study is conducted to analyze, what exactly motivate women entrepreneurs to get into small and medium scale entrepreneurial ventures. Relating entrepreneurship with educational institutions, it is hypothesized in this study that the identification of motivational factors among women may support educational institutions to tailor made their entrepreneurial program in tune with appropriate pedagogy and approach. In order to conduct the study SIDCO Industrial Estates in Madurai Region region is selected since it is populated with several small and medium scale enterprises. The respondents were the entrepreneurs who run small-scale industrial units of SIDCO Industrial Estate. Out of total population of 432, 144 small scale entrepreneurs have been taken as sample size. The data collected were analyzed on the basis of Descriptive Statistics, Correlation, Regression and Kruskal Wallis Test. The findings of this paper show the major factors which influence the motivation of women entrepreneurs in small and medium scale enterprises and its close relationship with the entrepreneurial factors. The study also suggests some measure for the educational institutions in order to make its pedagogue support their entrepreneurial development efforts of the country.

Identifying elements of women entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship is a multidimensional task and virtually a creative activity. Entrepreneurship is the state of mind which every woman has in her but has not been capitalized in India in a way it should be. Woman constitutes the family, family businesses are the building block of society and nation. Social and economic development of women is necessary for the overall economic development of any society or a country. This paper aims to explore and identify profile and elements then suggest strategies and policies which could create an enabling environment for women entrepreneurs in local market Bhilwara. It aims to contribute a set of practical and policy-worthy proposal to promote the healthy growth of entrepreneurial activities and enterprises owned by women in local market. Researcher has collected primary data through unstructured questionnaire; doing self administered survey of sample size 30. Findings will be displayed using descriptive statistics. This study will help researcher in identifying hurdles of women entrepreneur.

Learning, unlearning and re-learning: a reflective evaluation among women entrepreneurs in India

Bangalore Learning dexterity is the name of game. Majority of passionate learners are Entrepreneurs. They are agile to unlearn traditional rules to learn innovative practices, though leaving comfort zone and entering unknown is painful transition. Entrepreneurial learning is extensively implicit as how individuals gain knowledge and endorse innovative behaviors in the practice of identifying and performing on opportunities to manage ventures. To succeed in the competitive market, re-learning precisely portrayed as refocused learning. With continued vision, objectives and methods to relearn/practice. Objective of the study is to identify push and pull factors that motivate women entrepreneurs to learn, unlearn and re-learn. Considering these factors, five cases are explored. Qualitative research design was employed to explore the contributions of the social and experiential learning components of entrepreneurial learning in the successive development of women entrepreneurs in India.

A Study on Need and Constrains of Women Entrepreneurs in Dakshina Kannada

Women prefer to work part time job than full time because of various constraints, who havemore family responsibility than male. Factors Affecting the Trouble of Women Entrepreneurs: A Case Study on India

This study was focused on factor affecting the trouble of women entrepreneurs, the case study of India. The study was descriptive in nature and convenient sampling technique was followed. The study is entirely based on primary data and secondary data that were collected through structured questionnaire. The findings revealed that factor affecting the trouble of the women entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs facing some major problems there are Personal problem, Marketing problem, Problem of finance, Raw material problem, and Power problems were the major problems faced by the women entrepreneurs. The study was limited to rural area state of Tamil Nadu in India. A sample of 200 women entrepreneurs was surveyed by using the questionnaire. The results of the investigations by using descriptive statics identified various trouble and issues by women entrepreneurs. The research exposed a percentage of factors affecting them based on the opinions of respondents.
