This study conducted to identify the the influence of gadgets towards the social development among children below seven years old from kindergarten teachers' perspectives. This present study involved 50 kindergarten teachers where they represent as the respondents. In collecting the data, the researcher adopted questionnaire as the research instrument. In the questionnaire, it includes the aspects related to influence of parents towards the usage of gadgets among the children, impact on the usage of gadgets towards academic and health as well as social development among the children. Referring to the finding reported, the side usage of gadget among the children below 7 years old is due to the influence of the parents where they give freedom towards their children as well as not practicing effective parental style in educating their children. Due to the uncontrollable usage of gadget, it gives great impact towards academic performance and state of health among the children. As reported, the children faced problem in reading and writing. In terms of health, due to high exposure towards gadget, the children faced sensory problem and back pain. Not only that, uncontrollable usage of gadget among the children caused them facing the problem in carrying out their daily activities and tend to rebel. As the conclusion, it can be seen clearly as the usage of gadget among the children below 7 years bring negative impact towards academic, health and social development. Hence, by conducting this study, it gives awareness towards the parents in controlling the usage of gadget among their children.

This research aims to examine the impact of gadget use in early childhood school YPJ Tembagapura.The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. The sampling techniques used in this study used random sampling. Techniques for collecting data by observation, interview, and documentation. The results of the study obtained by the authors divide into 2 (two) parts, namely positive impacts and negative impacts: The positive impacts include increasing children's knowledge, building and training children's creativity, facilitating communication, and expanding friendship networks. Parents generally provide gadgets to their children as a means of education and entertainment. Facts on the ground, there are two kinds of ways parents provide gadgets to children, the first is that parents allow the gadget to run every day, the second parent provides gadgets on certain days. Giving gadget to early childhood also negatively affects the child so that the child becomes undisciplined in the use of learning time, playing time, meal time and rest time. When children play gadgets, children usually forget time and ignore the surrounding environment. As a result, the child becomes antisocial. This parent is very contributory in limiting time and watching when the child is given a gadget. The purpose of this study was to explain the differences between early childhood social interactions based on the provision of gadgets by parents in Sukorejo Village, Gunungpati District of Semarang City. This research is a comparative quantitative research with research subjects are parents who have children aged 5-6 years who provide gadgets to children every day and on certain days in Sukorejo Village, Gunungpati District of Semarang City. The techniques of data collection in this study were using the scale of children's social interaction based on the provision of gadgets by parents, while the data analysis used a different test or independent sample t-test. The results of the study stated that there were no differences in social interaction between early childhoods based on the gadget facility by parents in the Sukorejo Village, Gunungpati District of Semarang City. It was proven by the statistical calculation, the value of the sig-2 tailed is 0.940, which means the value of the sig-2 tailed > 0.05, it means that the hypothesis test being rejected. The early childhood social interaction based on the everyday and certain day gadgets providing in Sukorejo Village, Gunungpati District of Semarang City had the same score in the high category, which was 46.6% on everyday given and 46.6% on a certain day. The suggestions for parents, they have to be more selective in giving toys to the children, and need assertiveness, mentoring from parents so that the gadget does not give a negative impact later that can interfere with the child's growth and development process, especially the development of social interaction.

The Effect of Gadget Usage on the Social Development of Children Aged 3-5 Years: Literature Review

The gadget is a term in English which defines a small electronic device with various functions. The use of gadgets has both positive and negative impacts. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review, a synthesis of systemic, precise, comprehensive literature studies by identifying, analyzing, evaluating through collecting existing data with an explicit search method and involving a critical review process in selecting the studies. The data used by 7 national journals were obtained from the results of screening several journals from Google Scholar and the National Library of Indonesia. Based on the results of the journals collected and the author's analysis, it was found that there was a significant influence between the use of gadgets on the social development of children aged 3-5 years. For further researchers, it is hoped that they can research with two different groups, namely the control group that uses and does not use gadgets.

This study aims to determine the forms of gadget use and their social-emotional disorders in the children at Lenterahati Islamic Boarding School Kindergarten, West Sakra District, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The subjects involved in this descriptive qualitative analysis were 2 Kindergarten children aged 5-6 yrs old. The methods of data collection also involved interviews with children's parents, sample observation, and documentation. The results showed that both FH and AL subjects used gadgets almost on all occasions, with smartphones mostly utilized by the Kindergarten children in West Nusa Tenggara. Furthermore, the alternative used in the absence of phones was television. Development in communication technology such as smartphones and the internet are able to easily solve all information needs. However, there are many misuses of the sophistication of these tools by many children. This study aimed to determine the impact of using gadgets on learning motivation and children's social development at Islamic Elementary School Yaabunayya Mojokerto. The design of the study used cross-sectional analysis. The population was all students at Islamic Elementary School Yaabunayya with a total of 146 children. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the inclusion criteria of children in grades two to six who were willing to be researched with the consent of their parents. This paper discussed strategies and solutions that are carried out related to technology equality, namely technology, must be used by all students and potentially supervised by parents, appropriate assessments, preparing enrichment modules, and other things that can enrich literacy. Before learning, some teachers negotiate with students regarding the agreement on using the platform used in learning. Many platforms can be used in online learning, so it can be unclear if they do not focus on a particular platform. In addition to negotiations, it also aims to ensure that all students can access the same technology to support distance learning. Self-regulation is also an effort if it turns out that parental involvement is very weak in the learning process. However, parental involvement in the child's learning process is a must. This study describes how gadgets (positive and negative impacts) impact the mental development of children of developing age in kindergarten and elementary school at the Prof Kadirun Yahya foundation. A qualitative approach research method in this research and be used to examine a condition of a natural object, the researcher as a key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out by triangulation (observation, interviews, documentation), and the results of qualitative research are to understand the meaning, uniqueness, construct phenomena, and find hypotheses. The results of this study are that the use of gadgets has an impact on the psychological development of elementary school children. In this study, five kindergarten children and five elementary school children who used gadgets with a duration of more than 2 hours per day experienced behavioral changes. The impact is positive; children; children are easy to find information about learning and make it easier to communicate with friends. However, the negative impact of gadgets affects psychological development, especially aspects of emotional growth and moral development. In emotional growth, children who use gadgets become irritable, rebellious, imitate behavior in gadgets, and talk to themselves on gadgets. While the effect on moral development impacts discipline, children become lazy to do anything, leave their obligations to worship, and reduce learning time due to playing games and watching YouTube too often.
