This paper outlines the major ideas (ethnic-cultural nationalism/separatism, conservative socialism, authoritarianism, elitism, anti-liberalism, cultural pessimism) and intellectuals of the German Conservative Revolution and distinguishes it from Fascism and National Socialism. The thinkers whose basic ideas are briefly overviewed are the following: Arthur Moeller van den Bruck, Edgar Julius Jung, Oswald Spengler, Ludwig Klages, Othmar Spann, Hans Zehrer, Werner Sombart, Ernst Jünger, Ernst Niekisch, Carl Schmitt, and Karl Haushofer.
