The destination that Allah created human being is to whorship to Allah as an instruction and explanation about whorship. Then Allah sent down his Qur’an and delivered his Prophet as conveyars of the role of the Allah and the lost Kitab that has been sent down to Muhammad SAW as the instruction and figure for the moslems people untill the end of time. The meeting among Islam and Christian and Jew has been running since the birth of Islam in Jazeera. The first century of Masehi, in tht meeting the holy Qur’an is a holy book for moslems took its possision as the corrector for the holy books before. Especially the holy book that has been brought by christians, it’s called Al Kitab. The problems about Ahlu Kitab (Jew and Christian) are very important to be explained, because these problems impact to our aqidah, whorship, relationship many kinds of aspect of life for moslems, beside that the meaning of Ahlu Kitab who is Ahlu Kitab is still cuarreled by ulama, especially still cuarreted by...

ETIKA MENUNTUT ILMU MENURUT KITAB TA’LIM MUTA’ALIM

This paper discusses the ethics of studying according to the Ta'lim al-Muta'alim by Sheikh al-Zarnuzi. This paper focuses its study on the description-conceptions and steps that students must take in their studies. The source of the data in this article was obtained from the book Ta'lim al-Muta'alim by Sheikh al-Zarnuzi and several secondary sources in the form of supporting references and comparisons in accordance with the theme of the article. This paper is a library research using a qualitative approach, which is trying to describe about a variable, symptoms or circumstances "as is", and is not intended to test a particular hypothesis. The results of this paper show that ethics requires knowledge of students in the book Ta'lim al-Muta'alim are 1) Have a real intention in learning; 2) Smart in choosing Teachers, knowledge, friends, and have Learning Strength; 3) Respect for knowledge and scholars; 4) have seriousness, continuity and have a strong interest; 5) Orderly; 6) Tawakal; 7) Smart to use study time; 8) Affection for fellow prosecutors of knowledge; 9) can take lessons from everything learned: 10) Wara 'by protecting yourself from the doubtful and haram during the learning period. From the conception of ethics to study this knowledge, it will give birth to an educational model that emphasizes morals not only oriented to knowledge and skills. ABSTRAK Tulisan ini membahas etika menuntut ilmu menurut kitab Ta'lim al-Muta'alim karya dari Syekh al-Zarnuzi. Tulisan ini memfokuskan kajiannya pada deskripsi-konsepsi serta langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan peserta didik dalam menuntut ilmu. Sumber data dalam artikel ini diperoleh dari kitab Ta'lim al-Muta'alim karya dari Syekh al-Zarnuzi dan beberapa sumber sekunder berupa referensi-referensi pendukung dan pembanding yang sesuai dengan tema artikel. Tulisan ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu berusaha untuk menggambarkan tentang suatu variable, gejala atau keadaan "apa adanya", dan tidak dimaksudkan untuk menguji hipotesis tertentu. Hasil dari tulisan ini memperlihatkan bahwa etika menuntut ilmu peserta didik dalam kitab Ta'lim al-Muta'alim adalah 1) Memiliki niat yang sungguh dalam belajar; 2) Cerdas dalam memilih Guru, ilmu, teman, dan memiliki Ketabahan dalam Belajar; 3) Menghormati ilmu dan ulama; 4) memiliki kesungguhan, kontinuitas dan memiliki minat yang kuat; 5) Tertib; 6) Tawakal; 7) Pintar memanfaatkan waktu belajar; 8) Kasih sayang kepada sesama para penuntut ilmu; 9) dapat mengambil hikmah dari setiap yang dipelajari: 10) Wara' dengan menjaga diri dari yang syubhat dan haram pada masa belajar. Dari konsepsi etika menuntut ilmu ini, akan melahirkan sebuah model pendidikan yang lebih mengedepankan moral tidak hanya terorientasi pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan.

PENGARUH PEMIKIRAN AL-DIHLAWI MENGENAI TAKLIF DALAM KITAB HUJJAT ALLAH AL-BALIGHAH TERHADAP PEMIKIRAN SASTERA ISLAM MOHD. AFFANDI HASSAN DALAM GAGASAN PERSURATAN BARU

This study stems from the contribution of al-Imam al-Shaykh Ahmad Qutb al-Din Shah Waliyullah 'Abd al-Rahim al-Dihlawi or better known by the name of Shah Waliyullah al-Dihlawi (henceforth al-Dihlawi), an Islamic scholar who was born in the 18th century in India. Among his most well-known book is Hujjat Allah al-Balighah which was published in 1732 and has been translated into several languages ​​including English, Indonesian and Malaysian language. This translation explains the importance of this book, especially the influence of al-Dihlawi’s ideas among Muslims outside the region of India. In this context, this study argues that al-Dihlawi’s ideas particularly on the philosophy of taklif in Hujjat Allah al-Balighah has also influenced the thoughts on Islamic literature in Malaysia. These influences are manifested in the postulation of “Persuratan Baru” (translated by Mohd. Affandi as “Genuine Literature”) by Mohd. Affandi Hassan. This study aims to discuss al-Dihlawi’s ideas on the philosophy of taklif in Hujjat Allah al-Balighah, and further conclude on his contributions to Mohd. Affandi Hassan’s Persuratan Baru. This study utilises the content analysis method for analysing study materials which are texts. This study finds that al-Dihlawi’s Hujjat Allah al-Balighah among other explicates the philosophy of taklif which refers to the imposition of divine accountability and responsibility upon man. By utilizing taklif, Persuratan Baru frames literary activity in the context of fitrah, i.e., the natural human inclination to submit to Allah S.W.T. The use of taklif in Persuratan Baru also enables the evaluation of literary works based on their portrayal of true Islamic values.
