Factors Affecting Brand Loyalty: An Empirical Study in Malaysia
In today's competitive business environments, consumers are exposed to a large number of brand choice alternatives. Managers and marketers are battling to keep their brand loyal customer loyal and trying to avoid competitors from grabbing of these customers. There are various factors that impede customers to become loyal to either company or brand that they are using. It is the facts that maintaining customer loyalty towards certain brand is not an easy task but marketers are trying their best to increase or at least maintain brand loyalty. As such, this study intended to examine the factors that could possible affect brand loyalty among young consumer in Malaysia. The self-administered questionnaires were distributed among 300 university students. The results revealed that product involvement, perceived quality and brand trust are the major factors that affect consumer brand loyalty. The implications of the study were discussed and future research improvement were suggested.

The essence of this study deals with analyzing the brand loyalty level of the customers to retain them within the organization.175 randomly selected customers were used for survey data in Malaysia. In this study, both quantitative and qualitative method was used to improve research strength. This study evaluated the determinants of brand loyalty and also derived different dimensions of brand loyalty to retain customers. The researchers further investigated the impact of brand loyalty to retain customers. Most importantly, this study identified some issues for developing brand loyalty in a way to retain customers. Eventually, it has been found that promotional and service quality determinants of brand loyalty need to be implemented in any organization.

Key Drivers of Brand Loyalty among Malaysian Shoppers: Evidence From a Japanese Fashion Retailer

Due to the uncertain, changing landscape and challenges in the fast-moving fashion retailing market, fashion retailers have to find their way to stay competitive and survive in the market. One of the ways is through effective use of branding. Focusing on a currentlyleading, Japanese fast fashion retailer (Uniqlo), this research sought to determine the branding attributes which could lead to the formation of brand loyalty among customers. The Service Brand Verdict Model (SBVM) served as the basis for this study's research model. Through the partial least squares (SmartPLS 3.2.6) analysis on 309 Uniqlo customers, the results showed that merchandise, value-for-money, feelings, self-image congruence and uncontrolled communications are significant aspects that contribute to building brand loyalty among customers. In building intense and active loyalty among customers, both tangible and rational aspects of a brand as well as the imagery and emotional aspects of it need to be integrated in strategic branding decisions.
Determinant Factors of Brand Loyalty in Malaysian Automotive Industry

With the rapid growth in the Malaysian automotive industry, brand loyalty has become a major issue for a majority of the automobile brands. Market shares for national brand automobiles had been on the declining stage since 2011, from 56.4 per cent to 46.8 per cent in 2014. The objectives of this study are to verify the factors that affect consumers’ perception towards brand loyalty by studying the relationships between three important factors: which are service quality, marketing-mix strategy, and country-of-origin, on brand loyalty. A postal mail survey using judgmental, cluster and simple random sampling of Malaysian consumers in the Klang Valley yielded 413 respondents of which 381 samples are usable. Regression was used to analyse the relationships between the variables. Results showed that marketing-mix strategy and country-of-origin have significant relationships with brand loyalty. "Customer loyalty is one of the important approaches for retailers to improve competitive edge. Despite the importance of customer loyalty, some of the retail stores have lack on service quality, product quality and price strategy whereas needs a comprehensive work to explain how customers develop loyalty to a particular store. This study aims to evaluate the retail customer loyalty from hypermarkets in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and sets out to determine what influence customers to shop continuous. A survey of 200 respondents was conducted and reliability test is measured to present the constructs whereas descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation is used to analyze the research questions. The overall findings confirm the importance of customer loyalty, the need to upgrade strategic tool: customer service quality, product quality, price strategy, store attributes and customer satisfaction to remain competitive. The purpose of this study is to establish a conceptual framework for the mediating effect of brand satisfaction on the relationships between brand prices, brand advertisement brand loyalty of local automobile brands in Malaysia. The conceptual framework proposes that customers will be loyal when the automobile companies offer a good price and brand advertisement, satisfies their customers’ requirement. This study is expected to contribute to extending body of knowledge of brand loyalty in the context of automobile industry for a developing countries’ perspective Malaysia.

The objectives of this study is to evaluate consumer's awareness of brand by studying the relationship between brand awareness and variables such as customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, customer trust and quality of services. The study examines the relationship through a quantitative research methodology conducted in main peninsula Malaysia. The examined brand Air Asia airline's services in Malaysia. This study finds the existence of crucial association between customer loyalty, trust, satisfaction and quality of services that affects brand awareness among Malaysian consumers. Customer loyalty is found to have the highest impact on brand awareness. Findings of the study help organizations in enhancing brand images, improves brand recognition.
An Empirical Investigation on the Effect of Brand Loyalty

This paper examines how satisfaction, brand image, price, packaging and perceived quality influence brand loyalty. A self-administered questionnaire through mall intercept method was used for survey purpose. Valid sample size was 300 comprising all adults and both genders. The constructs used in this study had established reliabilities. After ascertaining the normality of data a typical multiple step procedure was adopted which is inclusive of identifying outliers, ascertaining normality of the data, reliability analysis, validity analyses, CFA for all the constructs through structural equation modeling (SEM), and testing the overall model through SEM. Derived hypotheses results were assessed on SEM's output that is standardized regression estimates (SRE) and critical ratios. Price was the strongest predictor of brand loyalty followed by packaging and satisfaction. Company image and perceived quality had no relationships with brand loyalty. Some of the findings of this study are consistent with the earlier studies, while others are inconsistent to earlier research. Implications for managers were drawn from the results.

As the market is becoming more competitive, managers and marketers are becoming more aware of the importance of being a customer-oriented company to survive, and in this regard, customer loyalty is one of the major outcome of customer-oriented approach. Moreover, shifting the concept of marketing exchange from transactions to relationship emphasizes the importance of building customer loyalty. Therefore, nowadays, marketers are in the quest to obtain knowledge on how to build customer loyalty. However, most of the previous studies focused on business to customer (B2C) context.
