Management education and research: Cultural and philosophical differences between east and west. (original) (raw)
The paper explores the cultural and philosophical differences in management education and research between Eastern and Western nations, emphasizing the challenges and implications of these differences in the context of globalization. It discusses how various cultural perspectives influence educational approaches and highlights the need for management curricula to consider local cultural factors to be effective. The findings suggest that assumptions based on Western paradigms may hinder the transfer of knowledge to collectivist cultures, and propose that management education should incorporate a better understanding of cultural diversity for successful implementation.
