Individuals must communicate well with one another to be happy in their lives. However, nothing ever goes as planned. The Philippine government has instituted lockdowns, house quarantine, social isolation, and other procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All Philippine schools and colleges made online study mandatory when the epidemic swept the country. Thus, this study investigates the relationship between happiness and anxiety among senior high school students. Based on the statistical analysis, happiness and anxiety have a significant relationship (r=.043).

Stress and happiness are broad issues and in this kind of situation, people are not well informed about them. Particularly during the pandemic, students face the new normal of learningonline learning. Thus, this study investigates the relationship between stress and happiness among senior high school students. Based on the statistical analysis, indicates that there is an existing relationship between stress and happiness (r=0.134) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, the study suggests that reducing the workloads of senior high school students can lower stress and increase their happiness.

After Over a Year of Pandemic: Mental Well-being and Life Satisfaction of Filipino College Students

The COVID-19 pandemic has been there for over a year and may substantially negatively impact student's mental well-being. This study aimed to assess the subjective mental wellbeing and satisfaction with life of Filipino college students. This cross-sectional study involved the analysis of 1,141 college students in the Philippines. The data were collected using the Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale and the Satisfaction with Life Scale. Results indicated that while 52.8% reported high satisfaction with life, 40.2% had poor mental well-being. Self-reported health status (β=1.899, p=.000), age (β=0.179, p=.000), and year level (β=0.306, p=.000) predicted mental well-being. On the other hand, subjective mental well-being (β=0.736, p=.000), self-reported health status (β=0.967, p=.000), and age (β=0.691, p=.025) predicted life satisfaction. The COVID-19 pandemic has likely affected students' mental health and well-being. Interventions should be initiated to address the mental health needs of the students during this pandemic and even beyond the health crisis.

Differences in Depression, Anxiety and Stress Levels of Freshmen after the Covid-19 Pandemic

Mental health is still one of the health problems that is the center of attention in the world, especially Indonesia. New students have a tendency to have difficulty adapting so that they have the risk of experiencing stress, difficulty concentrating, discomfort and other obstacles in carrying out the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of depression, anxiety, and stress of Malahayati University students in 2022. The population of this study were students of Malahayati University class of 2022, male and female, using accidental sampling technique with a total sample of 150 students. The scale used is the Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS-42) which is adapted into Indonesian. The results showed that most students had a mild level of depression as many as 53 subjects (35.3%), then most of the subjects' anxiety was at a mild level as many as 62 subjects (41.3%), and the stress that the subjects had was at a normal level as many as 60 subjects (40%). Then the results of the t test found that there were differences in the levels of depression, anxiety and stress between native students and overseas students in the transition period of the Covid-19 pandemic with a Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, namely 0.000-0.013 <0.05.

The worldwide pandemic COVID-19 poses mental health problems among individuals. Thus, this study aims to determine the students' levels of depression, anxiety, and stress and examines its differences and association across variables. A cross-sectional analysis examined three hundred eleven (311) students at Eastern Visayas State University, Ormoc City. The study utilized the abbreviated version of the Stress, Anxiety, and Depression Scales 21 (DASS21) to evaluate the students' level of stress, anxiety and, depression with the participants' socio-demographic characteristics. The data compilation uses online questionnaires through the platform Google Forms, with participants recruited via social media. The present study aimed to analyze the Stress, Coping Strategies and Happiness of Urban and Rural Students During Covid-19 Pandemic. The Psychological Condition of Student in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era

The Covid-19 pandemic is sweeping the world. Change cannot be avoided, including in the world of education. Changes from various systems make researchers intend to determine the psychological resilience of students during a pandemic. There is a change that occurs suddenly whether it will affect the psychological condition of students. This research uses descriptive survey method. This study uses the (Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale) DASS-42 instrument to measure levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. Based on the results of the DASS-42 analysis, students had very severe impairment of 6.67 percent, severe 11.33 percent, moderate 25.67 percent, mild 15 percent, and normal 41 percent. Stress data experienced by students are as follows; very severe as much as 0.33 percent, severe 3 percent, moderate 7 percent, mild 15 percent, and normal 74.67 percent. On the other hand, the students' depression level was not that different from the stress level, namely: normal level depression was 76 percent, mild 10 percent, moderate 8.33 percent, severe 4 percent, and very severe 1.33 percent. So it can be concluded that students experience higher anxiety than stress and depression. The level of depression in students was higher than the level of stress experienced by students. These data indicate the need for an appropriate approach to dealing with students' psychological conditions.

Indonesian Secondary School Students’ Happiness at the Beginning of Covid-19 Pandemic

Happiness is a subjective assessment of individual wellbeing. Adolescents, especially secondary school students living in Islamic Boarding School, experience dramatic changes from learning at their dormitory with face-to-face teaching method to distance learning at home with minimum activities outside their houses. The survey was conducted on 111 respondents of students who had to return home due to the outbreaks of covid-19 pandemic for two months. The research found that the dramatic changes made them had difficulty to adapt new activities at home for a long time while studying independently through distance learning. Only a third of the sample felt happy during the online learning while the majority felt negative emotions such as boredom, unhappiness, and loneliness. Amidst COVID-19 Happiness: A key indicator of Mental Health

Universally Covid-19 breakout has made the mental health issue substantially more significant than before. WHO has invoked about expending more monetary investment on mental health care and services this year by propounding the theme mental health: greater investmentgreater access. Happiness is a parameter of good mental health. This study intends to take Happiness as an indicator of Mental Health during covid-19 along with gender as independent variables.Emotional well-being is a powerful condition of inner balance that empowers people to utilize their capacities incongruity with all-inclusive estimations of society. A final sample of 100 males and females maintaining the ratio 1: 1 were measured on happiness scale developed by Sethi and Ajawani,(2002) and then on mental health , an inventory developed by Jagdish and Srivastav (1983). Pearson Correlation Coefficient r=0.95 indicates a very strong positive correlation between happiness and mental health and is significant at .01 level of confidence for 98 degrees of freedom. The variables of this study are strong positive correlated hence, was hypothesized that people scored high on happiness will have better mental health than people scored low on happiness. The obtained F-ratio =15. 89 reveal that there is a significant difference between the mental health statuses of the subjects who scored high and low on happiness.

Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and Academic Performance of the Students in the New Normal of Education in the Philippines

Studies on mental health and academic performance have been conducted throughout the world. Thus, this study aims to assess the students' mental health amidst the new normal of education employing 21-item Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale or DASS-21, concerning their academic performance. The study's findings showed that almost more than half of the respondents suffered from moderate to extremely severe levels of depression, stress, and anxiety. Thus, there was no significant relationship between high negative mental health symptoms and academic performance. In conclusion, students that encounter extreme levels of adverse mental health can still maintain high academic achievement. However, the students' mental health should always be managed and helped to cope with their life problems, especially during this pandemic crisis.
