The length-weight relationship, condition factor and gut contents of the dolphin-fish Coryphaena hippurus (L.) in the Mediterranean

Abstract

The length-weight relationship and condition factor of 420 dolphin-fish (Coryphaena hippurus) collected in Malta in 1974 were determined. The length-weight relationship for the size range investigated was similar to that reported for the fish from North America. The main food items were flying fish and other fish and crabs.
