strain KMS 80 (MTCC No. 12704) is an isolate from the root tissues of rice ( L.) that displays biological nitrogen fixation and plant growth promoting abilities. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this strain, which contains 4,566,040 bp, 4424 protein-coding genes, 8692 promoter sequences, 67 tRNAs, 20 rRNA genes with six copies of 5S rRNAs along with a single copy of 16S-23S rRNA and genome average GC-content of 45.50%. Twenty one genes involved in nitrogen metabolism pathway and two main transcriptional factor genes, and responsible for regulation of nitrogen fixation in sp. were predicted from the whole genome of strain KMS 80. Analysis of the ~ 4.57 Mb genome sequence will give support to understand the genetic determinants of host range, endophytic colonization behaviour as well as to enhance endophytic nitrogen fixation and other plant beneficial role of in rice.

Glutamicibacter halophytocola DR408 isolated from the rhizospheric soil of soybean plant at Jecheon showed drought tolerance and plant growth promotion capacity. The complete genome of strain DR408 comprises 3,770,186 bp, 60.2% GCcontent, which include 3,352 protein-coding genes, 64 tRNAs, 19 rRNA, and 3 ncRNA. The genome analysis revealed gene clusters encoding osmolyte synthesis and plant growth promotion enzymes, which are known to contribute to improve drought tolerance of the plant.

Bacillus halotolerans is a rhizobacterium with the potential to promote plant growth and tolerance to drought and salinity stress. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of B. halotolerans ZB201702, which consists of 4,150,000 bp in a linear chromosome, including 3074 protein-coding sequences, 30 rRNAs, and 85 tRNAs. Genome analysis revealed many putative gene clusters involved in defense mechanisms. Activity analysis of the strain under salt and simulated drought stress suggests tolerance to abiotic stresses. The complete genome information of B. halotolerans ZB201702 could provide valuable insights into rhizobacteria-mediated plant salt and drought tolerance and rhizobacteria-based solutions for abiotic stress agriculture.
Draft Genome Sequences of Three Rhizospheric Plant Growth-Promoting Bacteria

Here, we report the draft genome sequences of Bacillus subtilis A1, Sphingobacterium sp. strain A3, and Pseudomonas sp. strain A29; Sphingobacterium sp. A3 and Pseudomonas sp. A29 were identified as Bacillus velezensis strain A3 and Bacillus subtilis strain A29, respectively, after a quality control check of the wholegenome sequences deposited in the NCBI database. These bacteria exhibit tremendous production of siderophores and significant antimicrobial potential. When inoculated on maize, these isolates increase its yield.

Rhizobium aethiopicum sp. nov. is a newly proposed species within the genus Rhizobium. This species includes six rhizobial strains; which were isolated from root nodules of the legume plant Phaseolus vulgaris growing in soils of Ethiopia. The species fixes nitrogen effectively in symbiosis with the host plant P. vulgaris, and is composed of aerobic, Gram-negative staining, rod-shaped bacteria. The genome of type strain HBR26 of R. aethiopicum sp. nov. was one of the rhizobial genomes sequenced as a part of the DOE JGI 2014 Genomic Encyclopedia project designed for soil and plant-associated and newly described type strains. The genome sequence is arranged in 62 scaffolds and consists of 6,557,588 bp length, with a 61% G + C content and 6221 protein-coding and 86 RNAs genes. The genome of HBR26 contains repABC genes (plasmid replication genes) homologous to the genes found in five different Rhizobium etli CFN42 plasmids, suggesting that HBR26 may have five additional replicons other t...
