Background. In the hand, the Systemic Sclerosis (SS) is characteristically evidenced by Raynaud phenomenon (RP) and fibrosis of the skin, tendons, ligaments, and joints as well as digital ulcers with prolonged healing. Current medical treatment not always cure these complications. Local adipose derived stromal vascular fraction (ADSVF) administration into the hands has been proposed as an emerging treatment for these complications, due to its proangiogenic, antifibrotic, and immunoregulatory activities. The objective of this controlled trial was to evaluate the safety and clinical effects of fat micrografts plus ADSVF administration into the hands of patients with SS. Methods. Digital Natives? New and Old Media and Children's Outcomes

The current generation of young children has been described as ‘digital natives’, having been born into a ubiquitous digital media environment. They are envisaged as educationally independent of the guided interaction provided by ‘digital immigrants’: parents and teachers. This article uses data from the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) to study the development of vocabulary and traditional literacy in children aged from 0 to 8 years; their access to digital devices; parental mediation practices; children's use of digital devices as recorded in time-diaries; and, finally, the association between patterns of media use and family contexts on children's learning. The analysis shows the importance of the parental context in framing media use for acquiring vocabulary, and suggests that computer (but not games) use is associated with more developed language skills. Independently of these factors, raw exposure to television is not harmful to learning.

As more datasets, tools, workflows, APIs, and other digital resources are produced by the research community, it is becoming increasingly difficult to harmonize and organize these efforts for maximal synergistic integrated utilization. The Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) guiding principles have prompted many stakeholders to consider strategies for tackling this challenge by making these digital resources follow common standards and best practices so that they can become more integrated and organized. Faced with the question of how to make digital resources more FAIR, it has become imperative to measure what it means to be FAIR. We have developed Digital Spatial Profiling (DSP), a non-destructive method for high-plex spatial profiling of proteins and RNA, using oligonucleotide detection technologies with unlimited multiplexing capability. The key breakthroughs underlying DSP are threefold: (1) multiplexed readout of proteins/RNA using oligo-tags; (2) oligo-tags attached to affinity reagents (antibodies/RNA probes) through a photocleavable (PC) linker; (3) photocleaving light projected onto the tissue sample to release PC-oligos in any spatial pattern. Here we show precise analyte reproducibility, validation, and cellular resolution using DSP. We also demonstrate biological proof-of-concept using lymphoid, colorectal tumor, and autoimmune tissue as models to profile immune cell populations, stroma, and cancer cells to identify factors specific for the diseased microenvironment.
