The research aimed to maximize Hospital Information System is a software application that facilitates hospital management staff and doctors to improve their healthcare service quality. In Indonesia, initially this application is used mainly as a billing system in the hospital, which the outputs are hospital operational costs, patient treatment cost and pharmacy purchasing. In the era of technology-driven healthcare delivery and the proliferation of e-health systems, procedure booking software is becoming common. Procedure booking software (PBS) affects healthcare delivery by improving health care efficiency and outcomes, while cutting costs. Therefore, poor software design for PBS, especially if it is designed for important and critical appointments such as cardiac catheterization operations, creates stress for physicians and may result in their rejection of this technology. Moreover, if the system design forces them to spend more time documenting health information, physicians would then tend to prefer face-to-face interaction with patients. Software with poor usability increases the workload of physicians thus reducing system efficiency. Information systems are able to integrate work units in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in order to save organizational costs because information systems in hospitals greatly help the patient service process to petrify medical decision making. The application of Information Systems in XYZ Hospital is still not optimally marked by the results of the usability test which shows the results of 29% responses give bad grades, 57% give moderate grades and only 14% give good grades. So the purpose of this research is to design a form of information system that is able to integrate all information that can work effectively and can be received well shown by increasing the value of usability. The method of this research is to use SOIS (Serviced oriented Information System) as the main design method and participatory concept as ergonomic intervention. Respondents from this study were 2 admins, 2 doctors, 1 pharmacist and 30 patients from XYZ Hospital in Palangka Raya city. The results of this study were 10% of Respondents Gave Moderate Grades, 60% gave Good grades and 30% gave excellent grades. The increase in usability value is caused by the fulfillment of complaints and needs from end-users, this can be happened because the end-user is involved directly in the designer process.

Design Of Health Service Mobile Application Interface Using User Centered Design Method

In this modern era, many things that have been digitized indirectly help in community activities, especially in obtaining public service facilities. This clinic is one of the public facilities in Purwakarta Regency which is engaged in health services to facilitate services to the community. One of the efforts of this Clinic is to continue to provide effective and efficient health facilities under any circumstances and aims to increase the attractiveness of patients to the clinic. The purpose of this research is to design a health service mobile application interface using the User Centered Design method to provide health service information to the general public. User centered design is a design process that focuses on user needs, by carrying out 5 stages, namely Understand Context of Use, Specify User Requirements, Design Solutions, Evaluate Against Requirements. Products developed using this method are optimized for users and emphasized on how the user needs or wants to use a product. Interface testing uses the Single Ease Question as a measure of the success rate of interface design that has been made. The results of this study resulted in an interface design that is in accordance with the characteristics of the general public, this is evidenced by the results of the evaluation using the Single Ease Question getting an average score of 6.7 out of 5 assignments given to 5 respondents during the testing stage, so it can be concluded that the score It has a good level of convenience and is easy to use.

This paper presents a comprehensive assessment of the usability in health referral queue systems through the lens of a public health management problem. To tackle the challenges encountered in Ibia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, a pioneering solution named the “Fila de Encaminhamento de Especialidades Médicas de Ibiá” (FEEMI) was devised, translating to the “Referral Queue for Medical Specialties in Ibiá” in English. The study involved the modeling of the existing manual health management process using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). A comparative analysis between the manual and automated processes revealed a significant reduction in manual tasks, from all 16 to merely 5, including crucial aspects such as medical exams and patient treatment. The FEEMI system successfully automated 10 tasks, streamlining health processes and enhancing overall efficiency. The system underwent rigorous testing, including unit tests and usability assessments based on Nielsen heuristics. The results indicated the robust functionality of the FEEMI system, ensuring error-free execution of critical functionalities and showcasing its resilience in handling potential issues. For patients, the FEEMI system introduces a new paradigm, offering improved quality of life and heightened security in health management processes.

This paper describes a new method of collecting additional data for the purpose of skin cancer research from the patients in the hospital using the system Mobile Computing in Medicine Graz (MoCoMed-Graz). This system departs from the traditional paper-based questionnaire data collection methods and implements a new composition of evaluation methods to demonstrate its effectiveness. The patients fill out a questionnaire on a Tablet-PC (or iPad Device) and the resulting medical data is integrated into the electronic patient record for display when the patient enters the doctor's examination room. Since the data is now part of the electronic patient record, the doctor can discuss the data together with the patient making corrections or completions where necessary, thus enhancing data quality and patient empowerment. A further advantage is that all questionnaires are in the system at the end of the day-and manual entry is no longer necessary-consequently raising data completeness. The front end was developed using a User Centered Design Process for touch tablet computers and transfers the data in XML to the SAP based enterprise hospital information system. The system was evaluated at the Graz University Hospital-where about 30 outpatients consult the pigmented lesion clinic each dayfollowing Bronfenbrenner's three level perspective: The microlevel, the mesolevel and the macrolevel: On the microlevel, the questions answered by 194 outpatients, evaluated with the System Usability Scale (SUS) resulted in a median of 97.5 (min: 50, max: 100) which showed that it is easy to use. On the mesolevel, the time spent by medical doctors was measured before and after the implementation of the system; the medical task performance time of 20 doctors (age median 43 (min: 29; max: 50)) showed a reduction of 90%. On the macrolevel, a cost model was developed to show how much money can be saved by the hospital management. This showed that, for an average of 30 patients per day, on a 250 day basis per year in this single clinic, the hospital management can save up to 40,000 EUR per annum, proving that mobile computers can successfully contribute to workflow optimization.
Towards Healthcare Service Quality: An Understanding of the Usability Concept in Healthcare Design
The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on "usability concept" in built environment and healthcare design, and suggest a possible usability conceptual framework in achieving quality service. This paper will focus on three usability keys factors: efficiency, effectiveness and user's satisfaction. This overview will help future researchers to investigate the relationship between spatial design and "usability concept" from the user's experience and expectation of the outpatient area as part of the Malaysian Primary Healthcare (MPHC) service in a public hospital. This usability is useful in improving outpatient area service outcome, which is more valuable to the end-users.

Towards a Framework for Evaluating Usability of Business Process Models with BPMN in Health Sector

The importance of the analysis, modelling and management of a business process is not restricted to a specific enterprise sector. In the field of health management, as a result of the nature of the service offered, health institutions' processes are also the basis for decision making which is focused on achieving their objective of providing quality medical assistance. Business processes in hospitals are very complex and variable. BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is a user-oriented language specifically designed for the modelling of business (organizational) processes. The objective of this work is to show the experience obtained in the creation of the conceptual models of certain hospital processes which can be used as a basis for others in collaboration with hospitals in order to model their processes using BPMN. In first instance, the processes were modeled with purposes to apply metrics for measuring the usability as a software quality attribute according to standard ISO 9126. The next challenge is to evaluate the usability of the models from the point of view of the user according to standard ISO 9241-11 that defines usability as "the extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use". Starting from usability engineering, a proposal of a framework that considers evaluation criteria about previously modeled processes with BPMN results necessary. In order to achieve the framework are considered studies on the usability evaluation for business process modeling tools and languages.
