Untrustworthiness of Troubadour’s mask
Zbornik Matice srpske za drustvene nauke, 2020
Troubadour? mask denotes a figure activated by Nietzsche in order to arrange a quarrel with his own time. Transformative capacities of its untimilyness were examined from the perspective of the contemporary instability of democratic order, recognized by bulgarian political scientist Ivan Krastev as an expression of encreasing crisis of the trust in the democratic order. Unlike Krastev?s thesis, this paper uncovers that the process of absolutization of trust caracterizes a trajectory from religious faith to antidemocratical, slave-like totalitarian submission. Its conclusion claims that maximalized trust leads to a totalitarian subject, who is unevitably dumb, speechless, deprived of language, explicitly different from all characteristics of Aristotelian political being whose crucial gift was logos. Consequently, the ruth of contemporary mistrust is not antidemocratical, as claimed by Krastev, but reflects an outstanding democratical orientation and presents a direct consequence of t...
Perception in Husserl's Phenomenology
Science, technology and education, 2018
the article analyzes the role of the problem of perception in the writings of Edmund Husserl. It is shown that the problem of perception in Husserl is at the intersection of several key topics of his phenomenology: 1). It is for the philosopher a point of reference for all cognitive acts that he considers (figurative consciousness, fantasy, imagination). 2). Perception is an essential element for explaining the nature of truth and evidence, as well as the identity of the object; for quite a long time, Husserl uses a bundle "perceptionfigurative consciousnessfantasy-time consciousness" found in the 1904-1909s as a toolkit for solving the issue of intersubjectivity. 3). Perception becomes for Husserl also the beginning of an explanation of the origin of a scientific theory (through "attention" and "interest").
Gadamer’s understanding of the hermeneutic circle - methodological problems of knowledge
Доклады Казахской академии образования №3, 2020
This article proposes an author's approach to a possible understanding of the problem of hermeneutic knowledge by Hans-Georg Gadamer. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the description of the German philosopher hermeneutic circle. The methodological significance of this theoretical construction follows from Gadamer's own understanding as the author that it is his central point for understanding hermeneutical knowledge. The components, the functioning mechanism and the methodological problems of the circle are analyzed. The emphasis is on the meaning, place and role of language in Gadamer's hermeneutical concept in relation to understanding, text, the world as a whole.
Practices & Interpretations: A Journal of Philology, Teaching and Cultural Studies, 2019
For the first time in German literature studies the article examines the novel “Murau Identity” (“Die Murau Identität”, 2014) by Alexander Schimmelbusch (1975) entirely devoted to the oeuvre and public figure of Thomas Bernhard (1931-1989), one of the most important authors in the Austrian literature of the 20th century. The article deals with the representation of Bernhard’s literary style and his public mask in the Schimmelbusch’s novel. Special attention is given to the Schimmelbusch’s interpretation of the characteristic stylistic, narratological, and semantic constants of Bernhardian works. In the article we reveal two main forms of the Bernhardian word’s representation in the novel: parody and stylization. They correspond with two different narrative plans – first person narratives, one of which belongs to the journalist-character, the other one – to the publisher-character. The detailed analysis of the Schimmelbusch’s novel helps to complement the picture of the creative rece...
Female alienation in Zoe Heller’s novel «The believers»

of miscommunication, the theme being, «Are there no words that lead to life?», the inability to communicate feeling, the inability to communicate thought, and the inability to communicate love. The theme of the problem of human isolation in the three aspects is considered to be a recurrent one. The writer shows these shortcomings at work through the contrast themes and symbols opposing such concepts as «day-night», «life-death», «past-future», «dark-light», «village-city» etc. Some repeated symbols of enclosure, fog, and compression are the integral part of the characters" image. Each of the characters can be revealed in a phrase because each of them carries within himself the complicating factor that provides the framework for the story. But this does not mean that characterization in the story is slight or simple. It means that is is primarily based upon depth rather than breadth, and each is narrow area deeply explored, with the emphasis placed upon the uniqueness of that basic trait. This concept of characterization leads directly into the narrative technique used in the stories. There are no carefully-constructed plots, sequences of significant incidents, patterns of rising or falling actions. Rather, the stories are character-plotted, and each consists of the revelation of the character core that is the essence of the central figure"s being. All in all, two collected short stories are marked by contrary thematic keys, experimentation with the stylistic manner and structure. Characterization has deepened in contrast symbolism, and the narrative technique has become carefully controlled by using two narrative voices. In addition, Anderson uses the technique of framing the collections by using sketches at the beginning and at the end.

The paper aims to prove the hypothesis that Sextus Empiricus’ Neo-Pyrrhonism is significantly influenced by the Cartesian meditation as a genre of philosophizing. It refutes theses about (1) the non-predicativity of Sextus’ language and about (2) Sextus’ epochê as an automatic result of the action of opposite things or statements, and it argues that both Sextus and Descartes distinguish between (a) internal (forced) agreement with clarity and (b) the personal acceptance of this agreement which depends on a volitional decision. Sextus’ recognition of the clarity of appearance as appearance gives Descartes the only chance to refute the skepticism of Sextus, which is invulnerable to external criticism. Therefore, Descartes developed meditation as a special model of purely immanent criticism (the very word “skepticism” is never mentioned in the Meditations), focused on dealing with states of clarity and evidence. The author’s hypothesis is that the key elements to which this model appea...
