Contemplating Sustainable Coastal Tourism in Balekambang, Indonesia

Indonesia's tourism development continues to be encouraged for the sake of Indonesia made tourism the number one in the world. In fact, many people believe in tourism 2020 Indonesia so-world examples. The Minister of Tourism, believes the expected increase of 20 million travelers arrived in 2020. Along with the advent of globalization and the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community, the District Government of Malang intends to develop coastal tourism, which is a source of income and constructed within the region, in particular, the field of tourism, in order to compete with other regions, not only domestically, but also abroad. This study aims, is to respond to the regent Malang's aims by contemplating sustainable coastal tourism in Balekambang beach. The result from this study is based on its concept indicating that these destinations are quite friendly environment with the gap of minimizing environment impacts and preserving its environment. The effort of preserve that environment shows the lowest performance on the existing condition. It's validated by the concern of minimizing an environmental impact, needs to be improved. The evidence shows from a previous story about it. Thereby, too many overlapping government-regulations in managing the using of the environment for tourism enterprises (coastal). In addition, utilization an environment for tourism is generally more concerned with the economic contribution to the treasury of the effort to control and sustainable environmental management.

Analysis of the Concept of Sustainable Tourism in Maratua Island, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province

Sustainable tourism based on marine tourism on maratua island, berau regency, east Kalimantan province, Indonesia has challenges and perspectives from the side of tourists and tourists. PT. X and PT. Y was chosen as the object of research because it has CHSE certification from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The implementation of sustainable tourism has challenges in the accessibility sector where the high price of airfares to berau districts. The ISO 26000 approach to the core subject environment is the basis for tourism actors to carry out the concept of sustainable tourism. The relevance to the SDGs for this research will focus on SDGs No. 8 on economic improvement and SDGs No. 14 on marine ecosystems. Tourists who have visited PT. X and PT. Y 97% stated that they would return to maratua to re-enjoy the beauty of maratua island. As many as 47% of tourists feel very satisfied with the services carried out by PT. X and PT. Y.

Investigated Sustainable Coastal Tourism in Samudra Baru and Tanjung Pakis Beach, Karawang, Indonesia

The aim of this is to response the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia on her Wonderful Indonesia 2014 Program, by investigating the potential of sustainable coastal tourism in Samudra Baru and Tanjung Pakis beach of West Java – Indonesia. Based on the concept of sustainable coastal tourism in Karawang, the study found Samudra Baru Beach is a beach resort that is more sustainable than the Tanjung Pakis Beach. Because the Tanjung Pakis beach almost becomes a potential sustainable coastal tourism. Samudra Baru Beach would be more sustainable coastal tourism than Tanjung Pakis Beach, as long the Pedes sub-district committed to pay more their attention on enhancing the potential of sustainable coastal tourism by dealing with the stakeholders on conserving the Samudra Baru coastal environment, which would contribute the finance to both sides and empowered the economies of local communities who live along the coastline as well. Moreover, Tanjung Pakis Beach would be sustainable coastal tourism if the Karawang District controlled the development and balancing between economic growth and minimized coastal environment impact of coastal tourism activities. Besides, the Karawang District gets to deal with the stakeholders on conserving Tanjung Pakis coastal environment for developing sustainable coastal tourism.

Sustainable Tourism in Rural Area Development, Case Study: Kampung Tourism in Wanayasa, Purwakarta, West Java, Indonesia

This paper describes the development of rural area for sustainable tourism. This research stresses out the importance of strategic approach in the planning of sustainable development within the kampung Wanayasa in Purwakarta. Kampung Wanayasa offers many tourist attractions such as natural attractions, cultural attractions and man-made attractions. The strategic location of Taman Wisata Alam Pantai Carita is not far from the capital city of Jakarta and easy to access by public transportation. It takes two hours from Jakarta. Strategic location is supported by its natural tourism potential to be an attraction for tourists. The high level of domestic tourist visit is dominated by DKI Jakarta, West Java, and parts of Central Java. Tourism development in this region is focused on economic aspects. It has an impact on the exploitation of natural resources, human resources and local culture. Empirical facts show that the dimensions of sustainable tourism are in a weaknesses position. SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN BALI COASTAL AREAS TO BE CREATIVE DESTINATION

This study has a background of concern for land ownership in Bali, especially in coastal areas, the which has plenty of potential to be developed into a creative tourist attraction in the future to provide welfare society. The purpose of this study was (i) determining the potential for coastal tourism can be developed as a creative tourism products, (ii) identifying what the constraints faced in developing the tourism potential of the coastal area as a creative tourism products (iii) determine strategies that can used in developing the tourism potential of the coastal area as a creative tourism products. This study uses descriptive qualitative method, comparative, and SWOT analysis techniques. Data collected by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Location of research on Kedungu Beach, Pangkung Tibah Beach, Yeh Gangga Beach, Nyanyi Beach located at Tabanan Regency and Kuta Beach, Nusa Dua Beach, Serangan Island located in Badung Regency. These locations Represent the condition of the coastal region has been developed and under developed. Informants or respondents in this study include all tourism stakeholders such as : government, tourist, businessman, local community and academic community. The results showed (i) the potential of the creative industries that can be developed include: art, crafts market, video and photography, music and performing arts, scenery and culture attractions, landscape, accommodation , restaurants and surfing; (ii) the constraints faced in developing the tourism potential of the coast as a creative tourism products include: still a lot of potential coastal region has not been applied as a tourist destination by the local government, most strategic land has changed hands to investors, gray and black sand, the cleanliness of the beach that does not meet the standards, (iii) the strategies proposed by seeking the status of coastal areas that have the potential to be designated as a tourist attraction developed by the Government of the District, to stop the sale of land to investors, the formation of groups of tourism awareness and promote cooperation on all stakeholders. The results of this study would be useful to provide input on policies in the field of tourism development of Bali Province. This study has limitations that only use a few objects coastal areas , therefore the following research can be developed on a larger object that covers the entire coastal area of the island of Bali .

New Model for Development of Tourism Based on Sustainable Development

Sustainable Tourism Development in the Mandeh Tourism Area, Padang, West Sumatra

The number of tourist activities in the Mandeh Tourism Area must be supported by the appropriate tourism concept in its development. By paying attention to the potential possessed by the Mandeh Tourism Area, a development concept that is following its potential is needed, namely sustainable tourism development. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the conditions and potential of tourism as well as the tourist constraints of the Mandeh Tourism Area in implementing sustainable tourism and to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in West Sumatra Province. This study uses a mixed-method research approach that combines field observation, documentation, direct interviews and distributing questionnaires to 100 visitors who visited the Mandeh Tourism Area. The results obtained are that the condition of sustainable tourism in the Mandeh Tourism Area is currently still in the process of being developed following the document of the tourism development master plan of West Sumatra Province in the Revision of Planning for Tourism Objects in the Mandeh Region. Where in the development scenario, the Mandeh Tourism Area is at the exploration stage in the form of a tourist area life cycle and is still in a condition for community involvement, tourism activists from business actors and philanthropists in the form of providing the necessary infrastructure and tourism support facilities. The potential for sustainable tourism in the Mandeh Tourism Area, namely marine tourism with a variety of supporting tourist attractions, is expected to increase the interest of tourist visits. However, the current Covid-19 pandemic is a major obstacle in developing tourism in the Mandeh Region. The concept of sustainable tourism development applied by the Mandeh Tourism Area requires a strategy that is based on a small-scale approach, local management, and provides benefits to the community at large.
