DRONEaBILITY™ (Re)Launched (original) (raw)

2020

Abstract

Following a serendipitous BBC’s invitation to comment drone’s intrusion at Heathrow airport in December 2014, I identified drone operations and challenges as one area of my research. Consequently, my interest extended to drones’ potential application in the KS2 school curriculum as a platform for delivering advanced STEM understanding. That resulted in the award of Industrial Strategy Seed Fund (ISSF) funding of 15,000 GBP for the project DRONEaBILITY™ in 2017. Now I want to generate further synergetic effect and impact on society and industry based on UWL diverse set of schools and academics (e.g. aviation, computer sciences, psychology, education).
